Me-39 yr. old WDW Fanatic, Trip Planner, PS Maker
DH-45 yr. old Goofy Lover

Background:
I was a travel agent for 16 years and my first two trips (1999 and 2001) were business related. I didn't have much free time, but enough to fall in love with WDW.
In May 2002 DH & I took our 6 yr. old niece for a week at CSR. It was a magicial trip & DH fell in love with WDW almost as much as me. We then planned a short trip for just us in January. I made all of our PS's in advance.

January 23, 2003-Arrival Day

Dinner-LeCellier at Epcot
Wonderful meal!! We had a PS for 6:10pm and waited about 5 minutes. The walk-up wait time was 45 minutes. Our server was Robin from Saskatchawan & she was great. DH started with the Beef & Barley soup and I had the Cheddar Cheese soup. We shared the great breadsticks. For entrees, DH had Prime Rib & and Lobster Tail that came with roasted potatoes. He really enjoyed both. I had the Beef Tenderloin Tips that came with Cheese Mashed Potatoes. I'm not much of a meat eater but these beef tips were so tender I could cut them with a fork and had a great flavor. The mashed potatoes were so good I could have licked the plate! :) We shared the Creme Brulee for dessert. DH had two Molson beers and I had Diet Coke. Total with tax & tip-$100.03.

January 24, 2004
Breakfast-Roaring Forks at WL
We shared French Toast Sticks, Bacon, and a Cheese Danish. DH had Orange Juice and I had Coffee. Total with tax-$12.78.

Lunch-50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney/MGM Studios
I'd read mixed reviews about this restaurant, but I thought DH would like it so we decided to try it for ourselves. Well we REALLY liked it!! Our PS was for 1:00pm and we waited about 5 minutes. Walk up wait time was about 30 minutes. The theming and atmosphere were great and the food was really good. We shared the Onion Rings for an appetizer. They have the really skinny ones that I love. DH had the Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Mixed Veggies for his entree. I had the BBQ Chicken Sandwich with French Fries. For dessert DH had Lemon Pie and I had a Hot Fudge Sundae. DH had root beer & I had Diet Coke. Everything tasted great and the portions were hugh. Cousin Brenda was our waitress and she went pretty easy on us. As added entertainment, a waiter and waitress sang "Those Were the Days"-the theme song from "All in the Family". The waitress sounded just like Edith Bunker-it was hysterical! Total with tax & tip-$59.56.

Dinner-Roarking Forks at WL
We didn't have a PS for dinner & couldn't decide what to eat since neither of us was very hungry. We ended up here after a quick trip to DTD. DH had a Cheeseburger with Fries and a Root Beer. I had a Chili Cheese Dog with Fries and a Diet Coke. It was fine for us. Total with tax-$16.99.

January 25, 2003
Breakfast-Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL
Our PS was for 8:00am, but we got there early and were the second party seated after opening at 7:30am. I had to pull DH away from the Lincoln Logs! Our server was "Tradin' Tracey". DH had Uncle Mike's Flapjacks and a ham steak with OJ to drink. The ham steak was huge! I had Humphrey's Two Eggs Any Style which I got scrambled. This came with Bacon, Sausage, Campfire Au Gratin Potatoes and a biscuit. I asked for the bacon to be crispy and it was. I also asked for toast instead of the biscuit and that was no problem. Everything was very good, but I didn't care much for the potatoes-I'd rather hash browns for breakfast. I had Coffee to drink. Total with tax & tip-$25.10.

Dinner-Liberty Tree Tavern at MK
This PS came about because of my husband. We did two Characters Meals in May when we were with our niece, but I didn't have any planned for this trip. When DH heard about this his response was "You mean I don't get to eat with Goofy?" So I quickly added this meal. Our PS was for 5:00pm. We arrived a little early and were seated immediately. The meal is served family style and included Salad, Turkey, Flank Steak, Pork Chops, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Macaroni & Cheese and Rolls. Everything was very good! I thought dessert was extra but Boston Cream Pie was included-that is one of my all time favorite desserts so I was very happy. DH had Tea and once again I had Diet Coke. We saw Chip & Dale, Minnie, Pluto and GOOFY-My DH was very happy. After dinner we walked outside and two of the rocking chairs were empty. We sat and people watched until Spectromagic. It was wonderful!!! Total with tax & tip-$55.84.

January 26, 2003-Our last day :(
Breakfast-Kona Cafe at the Polynesian
Our PS was for 7:30am so we could get to MK for early entry. Well we woke up at 7:15 so that wasn't happening. I called and changed the time to 8:30am with no problem. We got there right on time and were seated immediately. DH had a Ham & Cheese Omelet with Home Fried Potatoes and a Biscuit with OJ to drink. I had read about Tonga Toast for two years and had to try it. Well, I'm glad I did but I probably won't get it again. A little too sweet for my taste. The bacon and coffee were great. Total with tax and tip-$24.66.

Snack-Casey's Corner at MK
DH doesn't snack much, but I HAD to get a Hot Dog from Casey's!! It's my own little tradition. I also got Fries and a Diet Coke. Total with tax-$7.32

Dinner-Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL
We enjoyed breakfast here so we decided to eat here again for our last night. We didn't have a PS but were seated immediately. We shared Nachos for an appetizer. For entrees, DH had Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes, Corn on the Cob and Tea. I had Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Corn on the Cob and Diet Coke.
Everything was very good, but to be honest I wasn't all that hungry and didn't eat very much. I was also getting the "going home blues"!! While we were there we were treated to the pony races. We love watching the little kids at WDW, so we really liked seeing this. Total with tax & tip-$56.13.

As you can see we had great meals on this trip. We weren't disappointed in anything. I read sometimes about the high prices for food at WDW, but we eat out alot at home, and considering the atmosphere and everything else, I don't think the costs are out of line at all.

I hope you've enjoyed reading these reviews. If anyone has any questions, please ask.

Thanks for the great reviews, we too have eaten at Le Celliers and enjoyed there food alot. WDW is our favorite place to go, and the restaurants are so great. We always have to pick a new one to try on each visit.

Wonderful reviews!! Thanks so much for sharing! You have made me hungry though!!!! Wish I was at WDW getting ready to go somewhere yummy to eat!!!

Thanks for the review. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge in May and are looking forward to trying Whispering Canyon. I am really getting antsy about our itinerary...waiting for May hours to come out before I make any PS.
