Just got back last night and already miss WDW! First time on the dining plan and overall thought it was great and would do it again. Trip included Myself, DH (but we'll refer to him as Al as he hates the DH stuff), DS (turned 5 on the trip) and DD (just shy of 3). Most breakfasts were on the run from stuff in our room so I won't mention them unless we ate somewhere. Let's get down to business!

Day 1-Nor'easter delayed us big time. Had only planned on using a CS as we were originally supposed to get in around 9 but didn't walk into POFQ until 2:30 am. At least we got there. Saved the credits for later in the week.

Day 2-Breakfast CS at POFQ. Grade B. A little disconbobulated from the lack of sleep so we certainly didn't get our credit's worth but were more interested in getting to MK. Al got the Mickey waffles w/bacon overall thought it was good, I got the french toast with bacon & sausage, kids split pancakes and bacon. Overall good, filled us up and we were off.

Lunch-a fiasco, I know it's been said before but kid's choices at MK stink. I didn't realize until a couple of days later that CS are CS you don't have to order from the kid's menu. We couldn't agree and ended up at Casey's where we paid OOP for hot dogs, corn dogs & FF. Way overpriced but at that point didn't care, we were starving.

Dinner-Le Cellier. Grade A+++. Our server, Janine was great, attentive but not hovering. Al got the cesar salad, NY strip and chocolate mouse dessert. He said the steak was some of the best he'd ever had, loved the salad (which says a lot because he's not a big veggie guy), by the time dessert was there he was getting full so only ate 1/2 but did love it. Kids split the pizza, carrots/celery, green apples. They really liked it and for the 2 super picky eaters that's good. DS fell asleep int he booth before dessert so little sister got all the make your own sundae. I got the cheese soup (a little salty but I did like it) maple filet-WOW! and the potatoes were awesome too and the creme brulee duo-again WOW! The vanilla was better than the maple but I didn't have a problem eating both. Only complaint is we had a 7:50 ADR and didn't get seated until 8:30. We were already pushing the limits with 2 little ones for 7:50 but 8:30 was too much. I'd got back here in a heartbeat.

Day 3-Lunch Sunshine Season Food Fair-Grade A +. Great selection, food quality was great, I would even pay OOP for this place. Al got the 1/2 roasted chicken w/mashed potatoes and carrots and loved all of it. The kid's each got a boxed lunch that had a lunchable, apple sauce, carrots and juice box. They were happy finally had PB&J. I had a chicken ceasar salad, very good. Desserts were carrot cake and chocolate cake. Carrot was better than chocolate.

Dinner-Ohana-Grade B-. 5:20 ADR, checked in early and was seated right away. Food all came out basically at once except meat which we then sat around waiting for. Really liked the shrimp & wings but didn't care for the wontons, salad was ok. Potatoes were really good, veggies were blah. Sausage was unedible, steak ok. I personally really liked the turkey. Service was mediocre. Waiter seemed put out that the kids wanted something other than the buffet. Ended up getting them chicken tenders w/FF which they likes. The dessert was great. Probably wouldn't go here again.

Day 4-Breakfast Hollywood & Vine character breakfast-Grade B+. 8:20 ADR seated right on time. Character interaction was great as well as other CM's that worked with the characters and kids. Buffet had a great selection. I'm not a big buffet person but I would go back here again.

Lunch-Toy Story Pizza Planet-Grade D. Hadn't really planned on eating at MGM but we were all hungry, only had a couple of more things to do here so decided to grab what was close. Cheese, pepperoni and veggie combos for all. Even the kids didn't like the pizza and that says alot. I ate the salad and the cookie. Al ate his pizza more because he was hungry than anything else.

Dinner-Coral Reef-Grade B. 6:30 ADR seated right around that time. Arranged for a diver to bring down a happy birthday sign for the kids and had a birthday cake. Was seated tank side which was awesome. Al got the NY strip, lobster soup and cheesecake. Soup was okay, the steak couldn't come close to the Le Cellier one but he said it was good. I got surf and turk app, gross, the mahi mahi dinner-excellent and creme brulee for dessert. Kids had-surprise surprise pizza. They were both a bit antsy tonight so not on their best behaivor, thank god for the tank otherwise it would have been a disaster. Server was okay, not child friendly by any means and didn't seem please we were on the dining plan. Wanted us to order eveything from app to dessert all at once. Then DS spilled his milk and she really seemed put out. By far the atmosphere is what is the best part of this one. There are too many other places to try before we'd come back here.

Day 5-Lunch-POFQ-Grade A. Good selection, all were happy. Al got a double cheese burger w/ff. Both were good, I got chicken quesadilla which they made to order. It was huge and came with a side of a cold bean salad and fixings. Kids got chicken nuggets and FF. Wish we had eaten here instead of some of the other places.

Dinner-Whispering Canyon Cafe. Grade B-. Was really looking forward to eating here and unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. Our server was horrible. We sat for at least 15 minutes then he showed up and to take our order. No drinl order or anything first. Al and I both got the skillet which came out at room temp. 2nd skillet came out hot but not hot like it should. Corn was mushy, chicken ok. Ribs and pulled pork were both good. Sausage was dry. Potatoes & beans were ok. Salad came out literally 1 minute before out food so we really didn't eat it. Did like the corn bread. Kids god Mac & Cheese, they said it was good. DS didn't like the worms & dirt but DD did. The kids did like participating in everything and it was a fun atmostphere where is why it gets a B-. Dessert was good but our service was so slow we really wanted to get out of there so we only ate a couple of bites. I had the banana dustbowl and Al had the apple caramel pie. I'd give this place another shot more because I think it was an off night and the kids had fun.

Day 6-Restrauntasaurus and Flame Tree BBQ-Grade B. Kids got chicken nuggets and Ff and were happy. Al had pulled pork sandwich and a frozen lemonade both he likes. I had the bbq chicken salad and key lime pie. Pleasantly surprised by the key lime pie. Salad was good. It was too hot for us to eat ribs and what not, which we wanted to try. I'd go back here.

Dinner-Big River Brewery-Grade B. Called that morning and made a reservation for 7. Got there early and was seated right away even though there was a wait. Server, Shawn, was very good. I had the jalapeno cheese dip-really good, and NY strip-good, cheesecake-excellent. Al had garden salad-it was salad, NY strip-good and cheesecake-excellent. DD had mac & cheese, DS had grilled cheese-he ate all of it which means it must have been good because he eats like a bird. Enjoyed this place and would go back.

Day 7-Lunch-Sunshine Seasons-Grade A+. Al and I both got the grilled pork chop with potatoes and carrots. Very good. Kids got the lunchables again. We both had the Soarin' brulee for dessert-ok.

Dinner-Rose & Crown-Grade A+. 7:40 ADR and seated right on time. Got patio seating that it sort of enclosed-that was great. Our server, Stephen, was the best of the trip. Al got the potato leek soup-he loved it, surf & turf-very good and the guiness torte-good. I had the fruit and cheese plate-excellent, surf & turf-very good and Bailey's trifle-very good. Kids had pizza yet again. I'd got back here again any time!

Day 8-Breakfast at POFQ-Grade B. Mickey waffles and bacon all the way around. Everyone liked it and ate it all.

Snacks-a few to mention finally tried Dole Whips-Don't know what the fuss is about but I'd get it again, french toast bread was good, a lot of Mickey bars-love them, Itsakadoozie-kids enjoyed them, popcorn-why is it better at WDW? A bunch of other stuff too.

Drinks-The Grand Manier and Grey Goose slushes at France are awesome so it the Pomagranite Kir there. Tried beer from a few different countries as well as the Woodpecked Cider from the UK. Lapu Lapu's from the Poly-loved those. Got flights at Big River.

Loved the dining plan and would do it again! Thanks for reading!

Thanks for your reviews. I agree about WCC - your waiter can make a big difference.Luckily our food has been good there but neither time did we have a good waiter. Love LeCellier. I see you at twice at Sunshine Seasons - we are thinking of checking it out this trip.

I appreciate that you tell whether you would go back or not as well as your details !!!

Thanks for the reviews!! You were there at almost the same time as we were. I really miss WDW too! I am having withdrawals, I think. We stayed at POFQ and also were suprised at how good the food at the food court was. Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi - had fun reading your reviews.

We were there at the same time luckily we got out Sat. night - what a storm! I'm having major WDW withdrawals . . . what an amazing week we had!

MicheinMa: I noticed in your reviews of Sunshine Seasons in the Land, you mentioned roast chicken and pork chops. Has there been a menu change?

Great reviews!! Thanks! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Big River Grille. We're staying at the Swan in June and will likely go there for dinner one night. Went there in 2005 and enjoyed it . . . especially the beer flights!

Question: I am new to dining plan and will be traveling with DH and our kids, ages 4 and 2. You mentioned about the children's cs menu, then later realzing that a CS is a CS and you can order what you please. Does that mean that most places did not require you to order CS from kids menu for the little ones??? Or are all the credits pooled and not specified between kids and adult meals??? Thank you!

Did you really say

The Grand Manier and Grey Goose slushes

Sounds way too good to be true! The thought is bringing tears of joy to my eyes.:dance3: :dance3:

Now please tell me they're on the DP?!!

Let me see if I can answer all the questions in one.

Sunshine Seasons menu change, I couldn't tell you. I haven't been to WDW in 10 years (I know the horror!) prior to this trip. The menu's were very good. Salads, grilled items, an Asian menu. Everything we ate was excellent.

Grand Manier & Grey Goose slushes, yes it's true!! However they are not on the DDP but well worth the $7 each if you ask me. They sell them from a little cart on the water side of France.

From what different CM's told me and the way the receipts were printer CS are CS there is no difference how they are tracked for adult and kids.

Great reviews,thanks for sharing:goodvibes

Thanks for the great reviews. Sorry to hear about the food at WCC. We were thinking about going there. Will have to think about it some more.
