Dining Review Part 2

[Bayshore Bandit]

Part 2, or week 2 of our early Aug. trip (8/6-8/12). This week
it was just me, the wife, and daughters 3&7. Our friends took
off for Ft. Myers. Same grading scale as part 1.......A-F
We were offsite this week, so we ate outside of Disney a few
times. For those that did not read Part 1, we are AP holders and
have the DDE card. We saved around $178.00 with it.

Chef Mickey's (breakfast).... Of the 2 Chef Mickey's meals, breakfast
is our family's favorite. Really good breakfast food, great character
interaction. We usually try and book this later in the morning, and
kill breakfast and lunch at the same time. Grade........ A

Le Cellier (lunch)..... Very nice lunch setting, cool, quiet, and relaxing.
We had 11:40 ADR's but were not seated until 12:10. First thing we thought
was..."uh-oh, just like the Coral Reef". But it was not to be (thankfully).
Our server was great. Ashlea was her name, and she was very friendly
and talked much about her hometown in Canada. The food was very
good also. The cheedar cheese soup is a close 2nd only to the Lobster
Bisque at Coral Reef. The pretzel bread is great also. The wife had
the Chicken sandwich, I had the sirloin sandwich and both were very
good. We'll keep this one on the rotation. Grade..... B+

Biergarten (Dinner).... First time for us at the Biergarten, and we are
officially fans. Lot's of choices on the buffet, the seating area is some
of the best theming Epcot has to offer, and the entertainment was really
fun. Oh yeah, the liter of beer wasn't too bad either
The only thing I would caution is the timing of your ADR. The band plays
on the hour, for about 20-25 minutes. We had our ADR for 5:30 not knowing
this, and arrived to see them just finish, but then almost missed them by
the time they started their next set. Grade......B+

Artist Point (10th Anniversary Dinner).... We were SO looking forward to this
for our Anniversary dinner, and AP did not disappoint, it was PHENOMANAL!!
The wife had the cedar plank salmon, she will now no longer eat salmon
anywhere else for fear of disappointment. I don't care for it too much, but
after tasting hers, I wanted another bite (it was that good). I had the
Buffalo rib-eye (medium) and....wow......best steak I've ever had. The sweet
onion jam and the sweet potatoes au gratin were the perfect compliment.
We didn't tell them it was our anniversary, but our waiter (Steven) overheard
my 7 yr.old congratulating us, so he brought out the Berry Cobbler compliments of the house.......I should have ordered a 2nd one...it was
the perfect ending, ripe berries, that berry sherbert the put on the top.....
this dinner was worth the 1100 mile drive by itself. The service was
impeccable, and the restaurant has a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend Artist Point to anyone wishing to to treat themselves.

We're staying at WL and didn't get a chance to dine there last trip but it didn't disappoint the first time so I think I'm going to have to add it to our list.

Biergarten is an overlooked restaurant IMO! We had a great time there and even the kids found plenty of good things to eat. Glad you had fun. (and the beer certainly doesn't hurt)
