So they are less than a week before the opening of DVC resorts and still no dining ressies except a handful of DS places! WTH?

i don’t think they will be opening them for awhile. I have a feeling it will be walk up only until they have park reservation up and running.

Except they specifically said day guests need a reservation and resort guest it is highly recommended......

I figured by now they would have let us book. I am 50 days out from my next trip and have zero reservations...it feels very weird since I am conditioned to book FP and dining

Yes, and if they don’t open them up yet, then those guests can’t get there.

I think some of what Disney put out was for long term policy once things are opened up and not for initial time.

If this is true and we end up only being able to eat at our own resort and DS I am very glad I planned a split stay.

Yep 6 days out and they told me I have to have an ADR to go to another resort. Ummmmm.....

We are 10 days out for our stay.....
  • “Planning to dine at a table-service restaurant in a Disney Resort hotel? A confirmed dining reservation is required for day Guests (those not staying overnight) and is highly recommended for Guests staying overnight at a Disney Resort hotel“
We can’t make dining reservations now. Staying overnight at “a” Disney Resort hotel is also vague - does it mean I can only dine at the hotel I am staying at or may I dine at the other open DVC resorts? I see so much conflicting info out there on this and Member Services doesn’t seem to have a solid answer either.

Member Services chat response to the question on ADRs and resort-hopping for dining.... :confused3

“That's a great question! We do not have more information on that yet since dining reservations are not available. I would suggest checking back June 22nd when the resorts open and we should know more.”

LOL .... I'm going to call again today since I check in June 22nd, but I'm sure I'll get the same answer.

I hope we are able to visit the other open resorts. I am going next week and was hoping to spend an evening at the boardwalk/beach club area. Dinner at the pizza window and dessert at beaches & cream

Yikes! I emailed Terri Schultz after being displaced from Jambo and mentioned that I hoped to eat at Sanaa "if" I can get a reservation. She told me she'd have someone reach out to help me schedule one for my family.

A few days later I got a call from a CM "on behalf of Terri Schultz" and said "Let me see what we have available." She returned to say "It seems I'm only showing availability at some Disney Springs locations." 🤦‍♂️

If you can't resort hop without a reservation, and you can't make a reservation...
Oh gotcha! Yes that makes sense. As they slowly open they may want to keep people as separate as possible. So I did just speak with member services and they did confirm yet again that you probably will only be able to eat at your own resort. Walk up dining currently expected. The CM I spoke with was great and said that most resorts have a ton of availability that first week. She's not seeing only a few studios open. She said it's a lot of studios and larger in almost every category at most resorts. She did say don't stop checking for ADRs to open because they don't know, but at this point this is what it's looking like we will be doing if the ADR system isn't up by check in. She was able to give me information I did not have regarding hours at all the open activities and dining at my resorts. I have not seen this information anywhere so here is what she gave me.
