Dining reservations recommended?

Are dining reservations recommended for the sit down restaurants in the Universal parks, resorts, and Citywalk? We haven’t been to Universal in years and only ate counter service. Thanks!

I usually do not make reservations except will make one for mythos

I will make the reservation the morning of that day

Only time I make a ressie at city walk is if we are a large group
(HRC and Margaritaville)

If you have limited days for UO, does not hurt if you make a dining reservation

I eat at off times and have not had any issues of being seated as a walk up

We only ever book The Palm at HRH, it is incredibly busy.

Everything else is always a walk up for us. Never had to wait long if at all.

If there’s somewhere you really have to eat at, then make a reservation. You can usually do this the same day or a few days before.

Toothsome Chocolate Factory was pretty busy back in December, but everywhere else was not too bad. It's one of the advantages of US actually.
