dining reservations - how does this work with resort reservations

Long story short...I have two resort reservations in my name but not quite for the same days & they do overlap. That's a whole other issue.

It now looks like I may end up cancelling the one reservation. Is there any tie between dining reservations & resort reservations? as in will I lose any of my dining reservations if I cancel the resort reservation?

No.

It's common to make onsite reservations even when staying offsite just to book early and then cancel them. Nothing happens to dining reservations (yet) so don't worry about it.
