Dining Report 10/9 - 10/13 including F&W Fest

Ohanas Lounge at Poly
Drinks and Appetizers ONLY
*Chips and Salsa.....not your regular chips and the salsa was pineapple salsa. Very good
*Wings....ok, but not warm. Good flavor.
Would order BOTH again.
Too many drinks to talk about.

Beaches and Cream (on a Quick and Casual Voucher)
*French Dip (minus the peppers), onion rings, diet cherry coke, No Way Jose with Vanilla Ice Cream.

The French Dip was out of this world and the sundae was awesome. Too much food and yet so cheap with my voucher. Could not finish the sundae. Next time, that should come first. This meal would have cost over 22.00 without the voucher which ended up being 8.20.

Boma
WOW! Excellent! So good that instead of CP for Christmas, I chnaged our PS to Boma. I can't wait! The Chili Cilantro Chicken Salad was wonderful! This is a great meal for everyone and vegetarians will have NO problems here at all, nor will the chocolate lovers.

WOW again! Loved it! 3 of us decided to do 4 appetizers instead of a meal and we tried others stuff. We had:
*Duck and Pork Firecracker..................................... good
*Crispy Cinnamon Spiced Beef Roll......................... excellent
*Kenyan Coffee Barbecued Chicken Flatbread........excellent
*Jiko Goat and Sheep Cheese Selection..................ok

In addition I tried:
Grains, Peas and Veggies and Kalamata Olive Flatbread, both excellent!

Our party was 12 people (I think...I had a lot of drinks ) and we had 2 Dessert Samplers. My favorite of the desserts was the Pistachio Creme Brulee. It was to die for. We had leftovers on the platter and I would not recommend this for less than 5 people unless that is all you want to eat. There are a lot of desserts!

Main Street Bakery in MK
Ice Cream Sandwich..............................excellent
White Chocolate Macadmia Nut and M&M Sugar Cookie cookies with three scoops of vanilla ice cream. Cookies could have been a wee bit softer, but still........don't ever buy them from the carts!

Mara at AKL
Turkey Wrap and Side Salad.................above average
Looks can be decieving on those wraps.

Sci Fi Dine In MGM
Chili and fries........................................average, but very filling and inexpensive with a water.


I saw some people getting wraps in the bakery on Main Street in the MK that looked quite tasty!

Thanks for the reviews--I always wanted to try some other Jiko appetizers--.
About the cheese--to much?? Or, as I suspect, pretty "bland" taste??

No, Uncleromulus, it wasn't bland. Let's just call it the "Lewski's Famous Brie Incident".

Except it wasn't ANY Brie like I have had before. Brie is mild, this wasn't mild. It was down right pungent.

I also tried the quesadilla at F&W & thought it was great. I wasn't happy with the watermelon juice...way too sweet (even my kids wouldn't drink it!)

The cannoli was good, but too small for $2, IMHO.

I also had the cheese soup from Canada, which was AWESOME!

Thank you for your reviews! I have always wanted to try the french dip at B&C but I can't resist their burgers. Next time we'll have to make 2 stops there!
