Dining recommendations for a birthday and anniversary?

Hi everyone!
On my next WDW adventure in May it will be both dbfs 23rd birthday and our 5 year anniversary and I would love some recommendations for where to eat! I'm thinking whispering canyon for Ryans birthday, and maybe a character breakfast (budget depending)! but im not too sure about our anniversary dinner. We will be on a bit of a budget this year so ideally nothing too expensive but i would really appreciate some tips on places you've been and recommend!!!

We had to choose somewhere for relatives Anniversary meal in August, we are having their Daughter for the evening while they go for a meal. We chose Captains Grille for them, we had a really nice meal there last year.

All depends what type of meal you want, we knew they wouldn't enjoy Whispering Canyon, its not their type of place.

I can never recommend Jiko enough.

Also I know you guys love animals. Sanaa is lovely by all accounts and if you go for lunch it'll be cheaper and you'll get a view of the savannah while you eat.

I was going to say Sanaa too! We loved it when we went it's quite quiet and more adult orientated (probably because of the menu!). It's one of our favourites.

We enjoyed captains grille too, or what about the grand floridian cafe quite similar too each other in a way!

We have down both California grill and artist point if you want to spend a bit more, did prefer artist point but both really good.

thanks for your suggestions everyone, i'm going to have a browse through the menus and see if they take my fancy! i've got so many things to decide for this trip and so little time lol
