I have a family of three. Are there any tables that seat only three people, or would we be assigned to a table with another small family? I've never been on DCL and don't know how this whole table assignment thing works. Many thanks for the help!
DCL makes every attempt to sit like parties with like parties. For instance, efforts would be made so that families with small children would sit with other families with small children and adult-only parties would sit with other adult-only parties.
With that said, the goal cannot always be accomplished. We have ended up being seated with families with young children on one of our cruises.
The restaurants do have tables that seat four so a family of three may end up with one of these. But, a family of three could also be seated at a larger table with other parties.
And, after re-reading my post, I think I made it sound like it was a "negative" that we ended up sitting with a family with younger children on one cruise. This was not the case at all! In fact, we enjoy meeting all types of families! (That's what Disney is all about, right? ) One of the best things about cruising is that you get to meet some wonderful people. We are now lucky enough to say that we have great friends in Canada, Germany, and all over the U.S. It's the full realization of Disney's "It's A Small World!"
