Here is the deal, we are going to Disney in September, hoping for free dining but not sure it will be offered with the value resorts, if anyone knows about that chime in. anyway my question is if you aren't on the dining plan can anyone order off the kids menu? my daughter is 10 but eats less then most 6 year olds... so paying full price for an adult dining plan would be a waste, so maybe more cost effective to go ala cart so to speak... but wasn't sure if she could eat off kids menu, and when making ADR should I say 2 adult 1 child or 3 adult since in disney terms 10 an older is adult... Suggestions would be great...thanks

You would make the reservation for 3 adults. She can probably order off the children's menu, but it will still use an adult credit.

My DD will be 10 when we go in July. I don't think that we'll have any trouble ordering off the kids menu for her. Especially at CS. At TS, what are they going to do? Make me prove she is under 10!:lmao: :rotfl2: I think they will just take the order and go on with it. I don't see anyone really arguing that point. We are on the DDP and since DD is technically an adult, we are paying OOP for her meals and saving her TS credits for DH and myself. Since we are paying the adult prices anyways, I don't think it should matter. (Thanks to all the DISers for that info!)

If you are paying OOP- I have never heard them give ANYONE (10 or 100) having a hard time ordering off tthe kids menu. If you are on the DDP, you can order off the kids menu but will be charged an adult credit.
