I have a similar question to the OP, but wanted to present my scenario to the experts on here to see what they think the best deal for me would be.
I have a FL resident seasonal pass, as do my 2 children. My husband is overseas, so he has no ticket/pass yet. We were thinking of going for 3 days/2 nights to WDW, although we could increase it to 4 days/3 nights if there is a 3 night minimum for getting the dining package (is there?) We haven't booked a room yet.
We were going to buy my husband a SP when he comes home for R&R, but we could modify this if it'd be a better deal to get the dining plan. But to get the dining plan, we have to book a package, right? Which means hotel + tickets + food, correct?
If we were planning on staying at PC, the rate for seasonal passholders is $64/night. The rack rate is only $79/night for value season, so not too much of a savings.
Would it be financially advantageous for us to book a package, then, even though my kids and I already hold seasonal passes? I have read about buying 1 day passes for everyone in my party- can we use those towards credit for renewing a seasonal pass, too? Then, could we use my DH's one day pass to upgrade him to a SP when we get to the parks? And how would that work as a package since we will be staying more than one day? In other words, can I book a MYW package with hotel for 2 (or 3) nights, only one one-day ticket for each of us, and the dining package for as many nights as we are in the hotel?
Thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions!
