DVC website has a new 2006 dining locations guide, with some changes, CRT is now a signature location rather than table service.

They have added Raglan Road as a table service.

Not sure on the rest it looks the same, hopefully as i have already made ADRs for April

Thanks Princess!

I like the look of Raglan Road :)

We made our August ADR's yesterday - thank god for the free members phone call as it took the CM nearly 40 minutes. It seems that she had problems with the two ADR's that needed a CC to reserve the booking. The Disney system didn't like the fact that I don't have a post code. Here's the ADR list

Crystal Palace - MK Dinner
Garden Grill - Epcot Dinner
Donald's Breakfast - AK
Concourse Steak House - Dinner Contemporary
Hollywood & Vine - Fantasmic Package
Kids in the kids club and DH & I at Le Cellier - Dinner
1900 Park Fare Dinner - Grand Floridian
Cape May Clam Bake - Dinner Beach Club
Chef Mickey - Breakfast Contemporary

I use the free phone number when phoning member services.
Do you get them to book your adrs or do you use the first part when it takes you to AT&T?
I have never thought about using it for making dining reservations :guilty:
I was on the phone the other day making some!

Do you all think the dining plan is worth it??

We are considering it for our trip in October but I am a bit concerned about being forced to think about all our meals and snacks for 18 days with such military precision :confused3

That's exactly my concern with it, Alan. Also for you guys in particular this year with Joseph being the age he is, you might just want that little extra flexibility I guess.

I did an analysis (hey, I'm sad all right?! :rotfl2: ) and it looked like it would save us money, but only about $1 a day. What I did was I took our "typical" eating habilts for the day and compared those to the DP price.

I didn't factor in the DDE card either so actually we come out ahead not doing the DP (that 20% off in bars sure does add up :rotfl2: ) and I just think we can be less regimented too.

Having said that I feel sure that it gives great savings for others based on their eating preferences and also of course there is the intangible benefit of eating for "free" (when you have paid upfront anyway).

We saved at the last time we used the DDP,

What we did was for breakfast was use 2 counter service and share between us.

Then at lunch time we would order a adult combo meal to share.

Then use the snack when we wanted.

An evening used all our 3 table service credits.

So all we do is book ADRS for our evening meal like normal.

The rest is when we choose to use, where and what time is up to us too.

If it's a DVC stay you can get Member Services to make your ADR's for you :thumbsup2

We are using it for our 8 day DVC stay - I think if we were there for much longer we probably wouldn't as it takes too much planning. It was worth it for us as it is DS's last year as a "child"

We have also decided to use it for 6 days at Christmas and get the DDE card for the rest of the time.

If you are doing a split stay would it be worth taking it for a few days and eating in some of the pricier restaurants

We've booked it for September - not because we eat a lot - we don't - but we thought it would be fun to try it and have it all paid upfront. At that time of year, we can pretty much get whichever booking we want with just a day or two's notice - at least we could last year - so we'll just book the ADR's we REALLY want and be a bit flexible with the others.

If we feel it doesn't work for us, we won't book it again.

Could well be Jakki - it might have worked for us last time but we had 12 nights BWV and the rest of the time we had a car so made the most of going offsite. This time we are only at WDW for 10 nights* :sad2: all at BCV so probably rules it out again for this reason. Still, I'll try and get over the disappointment by using my DDE card again ;)

* Just to clarify, we are at HRH for 4 nights and 5 more nights in an offsite villa, so I'm not playing for sympathy. Really ;)

10 days is a bit long - we would have preferred a shorter time

LOL - glad to hear it :goodvibes

We're going to use the dining plan in May, mainly for the nicer restaurants like Jiko & California Grill.
With Tax & tip included it makes life so much easier, just order what you want and no surprises at the end...

Nothing to do with the eating plan but can you tell me where you got the autism awareness band please. ta!
