We have extended our trip for a couple of days and will be spending the first two days at a non-DVC WDW resort before finishing our trip DVC. Can we order the dining plan through central reservations for our entire stay or do we have to order separately for non-DVC and DVC?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

You have to have a package reservation through CRO. This means room plus tickets plus dining, or room plus dining if you have an annual pass. The package must be paid in full through CRO at least 45 days before you arrive. If you have a room-only reservation you cannot add the dining plan. You must convert that reservation to a package first.

That system is completely separate from the DVC system and for the DVC stay you have to add the plan to your reservation through Member Services and pay for it at arrival.

CRO will not be able to book the dining plan for your DVC stay.

You have to call MS to add it to your DVC stay.

However, I am not sure you would be eligible to do it for the first two nights if they are room only.

Usually you have to book at least a 3 night MYW package that includes a 1 day ticket. I know there are special rules for AP holders but I am not really sure how that works.

The minimum package reservation is 3 nights only for free dining. If you're not booking the free dining promotion, you can book as little as 1 night as a package reservation and add a dining plan. However, it must be booked as a package and not a room-only reservation.

Annual passholders may purchase a package reservation with the dining plan without having to buy park tickets. If you're not an annual passholder you can't get the dining plan unless you buy at least a 1 day ticket for everyone on your reservation.
