Dining Plan with DVC rental

I am renting a 3-night stay in Sept, and I asked the member to add the dining plan to our reservation. (Member provided me with the amount that I will pay for the dining plan at check in.) I am now tossing around the idea of NOT using the dining plan for those 3 nights. Is this something I need to decide now and tell the member I'm renting from so he can cancel before I arrive, or is it something I can decline myself at check in? THanks!

It must be canceled by the member at least 48 hours prior to your arrival.
