My 11 month old son eats regular food including Milk and table food. Am I allowed to order for him as I was not allowed to add him to my DDP?

Disney won't turn down your money. You can order whatever you want and pay out of pocket. You are allowed to share with him at buffets.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking.

If you are asking if he can eat off your plate, yes.

And also, obviously, you can order whatever he wants off the menu if you are paying cash.

Your toddler will eat at Buffets and Family Style locations for no extra charge.

At a plated TS meal you may share with your toddler off of your plate or order food for them as necessary.

If your toddler shares then many locations will provide beverage free of charge. They are not obligated to do this, but many servers do. (Never the specialty drinks - but milk or juice they do)

At buffets there will plenty for him to eat. at CS and TS restaurants you can share your meal or order a kids meal and pay for it. You can also bring in some of your own items, applesauce, yogurt, etc. I brought spaghetiios one year and heated them up in the food court microwave. Don't worry, there is plenty to eat at disney.

We just returned from our trip with our 1 yo granddaughter. We purchased all of her meals, both CS and TS. We only did 2 buffets (WCC and 1900), so no cost there. She's a HUGE eater and had no problem eating the CS kids meal by herself. At TS, we didn't order the whole meal, we just bought al a carte items, generally mac and cheese or beefaroni. We paid OOP for all of her meals.

Last time we went DS was 19 months and I ordered most of his meals OOP. Only a couple of times he shared with me. At the one buffet, CM, they provided a drink free, but I don't think that is to be expected.

To be clear - You should not have had to pay OOP for him at ANY buffets/family style locations. It's Disney's policy that those under 3 dine for free at AYCE places (and they may fill their own plate). I am sorry that you were charged - you shouldn't have been. I say this because you specifically mention CM and say that you don't think it's to be expected. I am not sure if there is any recourse at this point (If you indeed did pay OOP at any buffets), but it may be worth calling and explaining the situation. Disney may have a record for you.

As stated before by many at TS locations that are 'plated' meals, then yes. You pay OOP for any meals ordered for your children and you may have to pay for your drink.

At Buffets & Family Styles you do not pay for your children who are under 3.

I am not sure the previous poster was stating that they paid for an under 3 at any buffets, just that one buffet provided a drink for their child at no charge.

Personally I do not know what the policy is regarding ordering a drink for a child under 3 at a buffet. The child hasn't ordered a buffet, so the drink isn't technically included. I think some other posters have also said that their infant/toddler was provided with a beverage at a buffet and they weren't charged for it. I suppose it depends on the restaurant itself.

If you DO order a drink for someone under 3 (at TS or CS) do they charge the child's price with a smaller cup (and a lid, please!) or do you pay the regular adult price for kids drinks?

I would guess that you'd pay the childs price, but even if it was an adult price and size it'd be $2.09 (ish)

I have to say though that honestly we were never charged for a child's drink except when we ordered the Captain Hook light cup at 50's PTC.

THANKS! Well hopefully we'll have the same luck. Just incase I figure I'll try to tote along a few juice boxes. :yay:

I have never paid for a drink either. We just returned and had our 2 1/2 yr old with us. We had FD for five days. We ate at Chef Mickey's, LTT, Playhouse Disney at H&V and Diamond Horseshoe. We were not charged a drink or for a meal at any of them. We did pay OOP for her meal at Coral Reef (and for those darn Tink cups)
