Hi-

I have some questions- we scored the free dining plan with our visit and we've got a 2 yo in our party. Will there generally be enough food for him as well since he's not covered by the DDP? My 2 yo eats more than my 4 yo, but he can eat some from my plate too, along with my inlaws'.

And how do ADRs work with a party of 6 staying in two rooms? Can I just make reservations for the 6 of us, or is there some other way to do it?

Thanks! Kelly

The 2YO can certainly eat off the other plates. No problem there. Another great piece of advice is to use the buffets and get whatever the 2YO would like. No limit there!

Just go ahead and make 1 ressie for the 6 of you. Just let the waiter know you'll be splitting the check when you sit down.

When my niece came along on a Disney vacation with us before she turned 3, just about every restaurant would give her mac and cheese, or something at no cost. Not sure if every waiter and waitress was being overly generous or if this is normal practice at Disney.

Remember, if you eat at any buffets... The 2 year-old can eat as much as they want.

We have done dxdp, qsdp and oop with a 2 year old.

When eating cs most of the time you would have plenty but kids meals are only $5 dollars at many places and include a drink, entree and 1 or 2 sides like grapes or cookies so I would buy the baby one so he had is own stuff.

At all dinner shows and buffets the baby is free. At CRT breakfast they bring them french toast sticks :thumbsup2 I think plain pasta at dinner.

At other places they can share or you can pay for a meal. At a few places I ordered childs soup (my son loves soup) and they just included it on the ddp but I would not expect that.

I am sure that you will have enough for your child unless everyone else in your family are big eaters.

My 4 yo triplets usually share 2 meals between the 3 of them. You will have more then enough food probably from the 4yo plate plus you will ahve the nenoug hfood on your plate to also share without going hungry and buying extra.

There will be lots and lots of food for the 2 year old to share. When DD was 2, we shared with her but also chose the yogurt as dessert at many CS locations. Both kids were big grazers that year, so we made sure to pack small packages of granola bars, goldfish crackers, and took any leftover grapes and carrots from the meals with us for later.

If all else fails, it's only $5 for a kids meal. Much cheaper than paying for a park ticket in order to get the DDP.

We traveled with our 2 and 3.5 year old grand children and quickly found that purchasing an extra childs meal avoided tears from both the one sharing and the one waiting! Neither one cared for the adult meals. Only you will know how your kids will react-do they share well when you go out to dinner or do they always get a meal for themselves?

We had the dining plan with our 2 & 4 yo this past January. We found it was just easier to order my 2 yo her own meal and pay for it oop. She got to pick what she wanted and got her own drink.

She's not particularly picky but it was less stressful for me because I didn't have to worry if she was going to like my meal. I got to enjoy the meal plan and try new things that I normally may not have.
