Dining Plan & TIW

My sister & I are planning our 2nd trip to WDW in September. We bought Annual Passes and will be also purchasing the TIW since we will be there 10 days. We are planning on a split stay, 5 days DxDP at BWV & then 5 days using the TIW at OKW. Our niece may be joining us for part of our trip, but only for a few days. Would she be able to use the TIW card while we are on the DxDP @ BWV or should we just pay OOP for her since we aren't sure how long she will be staying?

At any restaurant that accepts the TIW card you can use it for anything you order that is not covered by the dining plan such as adult beverages. Because your niece won't be on the dining plan you will have to pay OOP for her food. However, as long as the TIW cardholder is dining with her, you can present the card for her food as well as anything you or your sister orders that isn't covered by your dining plan.

When you let your server know you have a TIW card they will prepare 2 separate bills - one for everything covered by the dining plan and one with everything else for the TIW ddiscount.
