Hi, I'm new here and have a couple of questions in reference to the dining plan.
We are leaving for WDW in the new couple of weeks. How do we go about getting the dining plan and how much does it cost?
Any other information in reference to the dining plan would be much appreciated!
It's $35 per adult in the room per night plus $10 per child in the room per night age 9 or under.
It includes 1 sit down meal plus 1 counter service meal plus a 1 snack per person, per night of your stay You may use these at any time after you check in untill midnight the day you check out.
For the sit down.
Includes at a la carte places for each person including the kids
1 appetizer (note a soup or salad usually counts as this item)
1 entree
1 desert.
1 non-alcoholic non-specialty drink.
Or at a buffet, includes the buffet and drinks.
Tax
Tip
Kid's must order from the kid's menu. But if you go to a place where there isn't a kid's appetizer, they get an adult one, then the kid's entree, and kid's desert.
Note that some of the more expensive places will cost you two credits instead of one. These are
Narcoosees
Yachtsmans
Artist point
Jiko
California Grill.
There's a couple others.
At the counter this includes
Entree+side if no sides come with the entre, most places will let you order one. if a side comes with the entree, you then don't get to order another one.
Drink
Desert
Tax
For the snack you can get
bottled water
Mickey Ice Cream bar
Fruit
Etc.
some restrictions apply (staying on sight, must be purchasing a package ie buying your tix from Disney too. I almost forgot. If you want the
AAA rate on a package, you'll have to book the package through AAA. You can't book thorugh Disney. It doesn't make much sense that you can get the AAA rate on a hotel only through Disney, but you have to book a package through AAA to get it. Probably an agreement AAA made with em.
Because you're so close to leaving time, if you don't already have your reservations made, You also may want to check with dining to make sure they have spots open somewhere you'd like to go before you buy the plan. After all, if you hate certain places and that's all they have spots open at, it's not worth your while.
When you're planning, you'll want to see what you're planning to do and whether you'll go over $25 per adult for your sit downs. ($50 at the ones that will cost you two credits) This is the whole key to whether it's gonna be worth it in a nutshell pretty much.
Hope that helps.
