Dining Plan question

If I have three people booked with the meal plan, and someone joins me at the last minute, can I use it for four people? I know there are a certain amount of points or credits and as you use them they are deducted from your balance. I guess my question is, how would they know?

Do you mean join you for the trip or the meal?

If they are added to the room reservation they will be on the plan and have to pay for the plan like everyone else (even if the payment is "free dining").

If someone who is not on your reservation ie. your dining plan joins you for a meal you cannot use your DP credits for their meal.

Another person or more can join you at your restaurant table but you will just have to get separate checks (only 3 from the DDP and 1 or more OOP )and also better phone and revise the number of people in your ADR party. If you are going from 3 people to 4 you may be able to chance showing up at the restaurant and asking if you can add 1 person since tables for 3 will be good for 4 people, but 4 people to 5 or 6 better call ahead.
