Dining Plan Question

Can somebody help me? I understand as a DVC renter, I am able to purchase the dining plan. (as long as I do it before I arrive) I read in a post that the dining plan had to be part of a package. Is this true? I already have my tickets for the parks. Does anyone know if I am I eligible to purchase just the dining plan and how would I go about doing it? I'm unable to find an answer in the FAQ's. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are using your DVC points (or renting them) then you do NOT need to worry about the package - think of them as two separate deals. I'm not DVC, so I haven't reserved it this way, but I'd mention it when you make your reservation. They'd either be able to do it right then or tell you how to go about it.
