Dining Plan - Is this allowed?

I will be traveling with my son during free dining. I am thinking of eating at California Grill. Am I allowed to split our bill? Can I use two dining credits for my meal and pay out of pocket for his? I know he is only going to eat some macaroni and cheese, and I would hate to spend two dining credits for a $7 meal.

What a great idea!! I hated brown derby last trip because the menu for our daughters were the same at the 2credit place as Scifi..Disney needs to figure out a better system for 2 credit meals!!
