Dining Plan Help

We arrive on Tues 11/23. We got free dining and upgraded from quick svc to Disney Dining - well now my husband wants to see if we can upgrade to Disney Deluxe Dining but since we check in so soon I do not know if that can be done. Also, we have already done online check-in - HELP????

Not sure if online check-in changes anything, but you can add the dining plan as long as you are more than 72 hours from your check-in date. Since you are more than three days away (72 hours), you should be able to change.

In theory, they could charge a change fee, but it seems that if you are upgrading (as you are), you are generally not charged the change fee.

They generally don't charge the $50 change fee for upgrades, but there may be a $15 fee to make ANY changes to your package within two weeks of arrival.

Excuse me for butting in, but did you say that you're checking in on the 23rd and you got free dining? I'm checking in on the 22nd and was told that free dining didn't apply for the week of Thanksgiving!!!

Yes - you are right - when Free Dining was offered we had blakout dates but then we received a pin code that gave us free dining!!

I felt like I had won the lottery!!!

As noted above, you can upgrade until 72 hours before check-in. I'd make sure I would be able to use all of those credits before springing for the upgrade, though! Make the necessary ADRs, then call for an upgrade if you decide you still want to do it.
