My (new) husband and I will be going to *The Most Magical Place on Earth* May 14-21. We purchased the dining plan, however, some of the meals look too huge for one. Would we be able to use, say, one dining plan meal, and pay cash for an extra plate? (Some places charge like $1-3 for an additional plate.)

Thanks,
Jes

You can absolutely share a counter service meal, no problem. I'm not sure if they allow sharing for table service meals now or not. I wouldn't hurt to ask the server!

Someone posted in another thread on here today that you cannot share TS meals on DDP. You could do this if you were paying OOP with a plate charge - here at DL the charge is $5, not sure at the World. But definitely not on the DDP... mmm such good food.

I think it would depend on your server. I've seen that some people have been allowed to share and others have not. You could always ask.

We had so many credits that we each got a meal every time. Otherwise we wouldn't have used up all the credits.

You could also probably have one person use DDP credits for a complete TS meal, and have the other pay OOP for an extra entree, or maybe even an appetizer, soup or salad. The two could then share their separate meals. The only problem there is, unless you do some 2 credit TS's, you'll have twice as many TS meals, which can really cut into your park time.

As previously mentioned, just ask the server. You do have to remember though that their gratuity is going to be based on the total bill and I'm sure they would rather have the tip from two meals on the DDP than one.

Thanks so much for you input. I think we've decided to just use our table service meals each night we're there, but split the cs so we have two two lunches; i.e. eat breakfast at 8, lunch at 12 and again at 4 then a late dinner at about 8 or so. that way we don't feel too full after any meal, and we can take left overs back to our room after dinner.

thanks,
jes
