What are your views on this. Sometimes I think it would be cheaper for us..but then I think ...is it hard to keep track up with a family of 5 for a 9 day trip. Any feed back would be appreciated. Also, how do you get that if you already have reservations.

I just called my travel agent and asked her to add it. It was as simple as that. If you aren't working through a travel agent, I *think* you just call Disney dining and have them add to your reservations. It shouldn't take more than a phone call, at least mine didn't.

I just called Disney and asked to add the dining to our reservation. It was very easy to do.

You can add it directly through Disney IF you are purchasing MYW tickets through them as well. If you have a room discount you will have to give it up to add dining. The only room discount available if booking dining is through AAA....you must book directly through a AAAA agent and the discount will apply to the room rate only (dining is still the same price and you get the standard AAA ticket discount...very small amount on the tickets, but it can save you as much as 20% on the room rate....depends on the resort and the season)

The dining plan is very easy to use. The servers will know how many adults and children simply by looking at one of your cards, as it tells them how many are on the dining plan. You will know how many credits you have used and how many credits are left, by looking at your receipt. The servers will also let you know if you are choosing something not on the dining plan, but that only means if you are ordering an extra beverage or dessert...something like that. You are not limited on what you can choose to eat. Go for it, it is definitely worth it ::yes::

If it is for your upcoming trip you could only do it on the CS portion (SoG cannot do the dining plan). Looks like you're doing a split stay?

definitly worth it! very easy to use. We just got back tues. and saved $273.00 we spent $693.00 for 2 adults for 6 nights.

We are a fmily of 5 too. We returned on 10/8. The dining plan was very easy to use. I just checked the receipt each time we used it to make sure the correct amount of counter service, table service or snack was deducted. We were planning on buying the plan, but got it for free. Here are just the table services we got:
LTT-lunch $115
Teppanyaki-dinner $168
Castle-dinner-$167
Crystal Palace-breakfast $88
Hoop Dee Doo- ALOT?not sure of cost, used 2 tbl service we had 2 more adults and 1 more child with us, for 4 adults and 4 kids it was $350!

One counter service at MGM for 5 of us, was $55! The rest of the time the boys shared alot, we just knew they would never all eat 1 cs per kid. Well worth it!

We found the dining plan easy to use. We liked it and felt it was worth it...we did get it for free but would use it again, if we had to pay for it. For us, it came down to the TS's. If you don't want to eat TS's every day, it may not work. Some say that the time spent at a TS, is too long but we found that is what we wanted. Our ds was 12 and we took a more leisurly approach to that vacation. Dinners (TS) tended to take 2 hrs and if that isn't what you want, then it may not be worth it. We used the CS's for breakfast as our plan was to eat a big breakfast and then snack through the day, without lunch. I know it wasn't as cost efficient but we prefer breakfast over lunch.

Thanks everyone. I will have to look into this for maybe our last 3 days.
