Dining Plan credits vs Ticketed Days

ok...I figure someone out there will be able to shoot me an answer pretty quick.

I have an 8 day/7 night package booked with DP dining in June. The TA booked us for 7 day parker hopper tickets. It occurs to me that our flight gets in early enough that we can do a park the first night...so I really need 8 day MYW park hoppers.

I just need someone to

1) verify that if I extend my Park tickets by 1 day, that I won't indeed have to pay for another day on the dining plan... am I right?

2) given that we check in that first day, I should be able to use one of my TS or CS that first day & another our last day right?

I bow to you DP/ticket gurus...so many if/then questions that ya'll know off the top of your heads...

The dining plan is based on the number of NIGHTS you are staying, so other than the fact that you had to buy 1 or 2 day tickets (depending on if you have paid or free dining), there is no connection between your dining plan and tickets. You can add the 8th day after you arrive at DW, just in case it turns out the 7 day MYW tickets are enough.

Your dining plan credits will be on your KTTW cards and will be available for you to use as soon as you check in. Since you are staying 7 nights you will have 7 TS, 7CS, and 1 snack per night for each of you (plus 1 refillable mug per person). You can use as many or as few each day as you wish and if you have any left on your last day they are good until 11:59 PM of the day you check out.

The dining plan credits are per night booked at the hotel not the amount of days on your ticket. So if you are staying 7 nights, then you would get 7 table serice meals, 7 quick service meals, and 7 snacks for each person in you party.
You can use the credits any way you want after you check in. They expire at midnight on the day you check out.

Answered my question above & beyond.

so staying 7 nights, gets us 7 TS, 7cS, 7 snacks...that we an use over 8 days.... great.

i didn't know I could add that 8th day to our pass till you put that....its only 30 dollars or so for the 4 us but that helps that I don't have to decide that right now...

And since your tickets will be on your KTTW cards you don't have to decide until your 8th park day. You have up to 14 days after first use to add days (up to a max of 10 days) to your tickets.
