Dining Plan -Counter Svc Meal ??

I have a question concerning counter service meals on the dining plan...

The plan calls for

1 entree
1 dessert
1 beverage or


1 complete combo meal with dessert
1 beverage.

My question is this.. I have looked at the menus for some of these restaurants and have not seen much on desserts and was wondering if you get credited for your dessert if they don't have any or do you just miss out on the dessert all together?

Everywhere we went had something. Maybe they have added something for a dessert since instituting the plan???

The dessert will not be saved it you don't use it. The system tracks the number of meals used, not the individual components of the meal.

The desserts at the counter service meals, were lacking. Mostly brownies, A few places we were able to get milkshakes rather than the dessert. That helped.

A few places the desserts were actually decent. Seasons, at Epcot had a great selection. Seemed to me that Tusker House, and Flame Tree at Animal Kingdom had a couple of choices too. At the resort food courts, you could pick about anything.
