Dining Plan Changes...DISNEY DID LISTEN!

I'm a CM at one of the Epcot Center restaraunts, however, I'm not allowed to say which one at fear of being fired. My manager just handed all of us a note, listing the following changes:

ATTN XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:

Due to numerous guest complaints, the dining plan is changing immediately. It will now include:

-One (1) Appetizer
-One (1) Choice of Soup/Salad
-One (1) Entree

Gratuity is now included in the price.


We will be offering more quick service menu items, as well, to the Dining Plan.


These changes will be effective beginning July 1st, 2008. All guests who have already purchased their packages can either keep their original package or be given the choice to upgrade at no charge.

i would be very surprised doing this just before "free dining" disney would lose a lot of $$ but maybe they just want to sweeten the deal with us???

I happened to be on the phone with Disney Dining when I saw this post so I asked the CM about it. She seemed to be very knowledgeable and said they hadn't received any info about this and doubts that it is true. She said if they were changing the plan starting Tues., they would have received info about it already. It will be interesting to see who's correct.

Come on, people, this is just a poster stirring up the pot, to sit back and laugh at all the responses to his/her post. We would have heard something by now for changes taking place in 4 days.

i was looking forward to desserts-lol! I wonder how much more this plan would go up in cost. If this is true I need to add it on asap but will wait for more confirmation
