Okay so I got my AAA stuff in the mail today and as I am reading through it I see that it says that "Beginning February 2006 all meals, including Character Dining Experiences at Cinderella's Royal Table, will require 2 Table-service meals." This is in a section talking about how you can exchange 1 TS for 1 Character Dining Experience. That is of course, the info. I had when I decided that the dining plan would be so great.

I am so upset! I have breakfast ressies for CRT and Crystal Palace for May and of course, I didn't know this because we wouldn't be able to lose two TS meals for those. I am so so disappointed. =( The person at the Disney dining reservations didn't mention this to me either. She did make a point to tell me that the Fantasmic Dinner Package only required 1 TS meal.

*sigh* Anyone else upset about this?

I would bet that it doesn't meal all character meals will be 2 credit meals but rather all CRT meals (including the ones with and the one without characters) will be 2 credits. I doubt they'd make the other character meals 2 credits.

At least that's how I read it, that all CRT meals are 2 credits. Not that all charachter meals are 2 credits.

the only character dining that is two is CRT...

I would post a url on this, but I have too few posts...

okay well that isn't so bad then, if it is ONLY CRT, then I will figure out a way to make that work. I wish I would have realized it before though or that the person would have mentioned it when I made my ADR's. Breakfast isn't even expensive there.

Prices are going up at CRT on February 1st, but another option if you don't want to use 2 TS is to pay out of pocket for your meal there. Don't give up on CRT...our lunch there was probably the highlight of our trip in Sept.!!!

Here's the prices and info regarding the changes for breakfast:

Beginning February 1, 2006, dining at Cinderella's Royal Table will undergo several changes:

-- Breakfast and Lunch will continue as Disney Princess-themed character meals. However, when you arrive at Cinderella Castle for your reservation, a photographer will be on hand to take pictures of your group in the lobby, before you are seated in the dining room. A package with four 4x6 prints and one 6x8 print of your photo, as well as one 6x8 print of Cinderella Castle, in a Cinderella photo holder (valued at $29.95 plus tax) will be delivered to you during your meal, which will be from a fixed-price, set menu. (Additional photos may be purchased.)

Breakfast: $31.99 ages 10 and up; $21.99 ages 3-9. Lunch: $33.99 ages 10 and up; $22.99 ages 3-9.

The Disney Dining plan has its upsides, but it does have downsides like how things can change with little or no notice. This is one thing that bothers me about the plan. If you are like us the dining plan is probably the only way you will go to a place like CRT.

Here is a thought though. What time are you getting in on your first night? Maybe skip a table service meal for like say...McDonalds then you will have your two TS meals for CRT??
