Any suggestions on a nice dinner at Epcot? We have the Dining Package. We have eaten at Le Cellier and it was great, but I am not willing to use 2 sit down meals for 1 dinner there. I have looked at the Menus on Debs website and San Angel Inn looks pretty interesting. Is San Angel Inn where the Mexican ride is at? I have also thought about walking to a resort that would be close by. I know the exit at Epcot is right at some resort on the back side by the countries. We have eaten at Garden Grill but it will be closed when we are there from March 20-27. We have twin girls and they are going to be celebrating their 6th birthday, so I want this to be a really special trip for them.

Have you tried or looked into the Moroccan restaurant. I do not know how many "points" it takes but its really good. If not, try it for lunch. The lamb is delicious. I thought the belly dancing is a little overrated though ^o^

our favorite place to eat at wdw is the epcot world showcase pavilions, you cant go wrong with these yummy dining options. tip - make ps's at dinner.

yes, the san angel inn is inside the mayan pyramid of mexico, its to the right of the el rio de tempo ride. we have eaten there before liked the decor, my fiance liked their fajitas & margaritas. we also like le cellier steakhouse canada - canadian bacon cheddar soup & filet mignon, le origanale alfredo's in italy - we always share the fetticine alfredo & dessert platter, france's les chefs de france - steak, quiche & crepes, morocco's marrakesh - we like the couscous, skewers & enjoyed the loud music & bellydancing and for casual, inexpensive the lotus blossom cafe at china - orange chix (sweet & sour chicken) or germanys beirgarten - brats, spaetzle, forest cake.

the boardwalk, yacht club & swan/dolphin resorts can be reached from the international gateway boat dock. the boardwalk is an attraction in itself, our favs at the bwi are the flying fish restaurant, the actual romantic strolling boardwalk, espn club & jellyrolls - dueling pianos-karoake & bar.

also for your girls bday, you can order a special bday cake by request in advance, for a fee at most of the wdw restaurants, i did this for my fiance at le cellier. another idea is one of the character meals like breakfast with the princesses at norways akershus at epcot and buy them those wdw birthday pins!

hope this helps, have a great wdw trip!

I agree that Morrocco's Marrakesh is really really good. And it's quiet and a little secluded most of the time. That's the only "nice" restaurant we 've eaten at in Epcot so far.

We have been to San Angel and weren't overly impressed with the dinner menu. Our favorites are Alfredos in Italy and Nine Dragons in China.

May I also suggest some "don'ts." Being Asian, we stayed away from the "food court style" Chinese food. The Japanese restaurant looked ok however, we decided not to take our chances...besides, everyone knows that you go to Seattle or Frisco for the best Japanese food in the U.S. I wanna play my origin card again. Texan here, so no Floridian Mexican food haha. I dunno, I can't judge yet, never been to the Mexican restaurant. Can you see some of the ride at the restaurant? I've always liked that concept like how they did the Blue Bayou in Disneyland's POTR. Always made me hungry. I think they only things they serve at the American pavillion are hot dogs and burgers.... I guess there is nothing more american than that haha. anyways, hopes this helps a lil. Enjoy!

We ate at the Japanese restaurant, it was great, but for your kids I am not sure if they enjoy that kind of food. My kids like the Rose and Crowne pub in the UK in Epcot, the like fish and chips. We sat by the water and watched fireworks later from that spot.

They may like the view at the San Angel Inn, it is lovely, but my kids are picky about mexican food. They like bean burritos (not meat) but they were willing to make one for us there

I am also underwhelmed with the sit down dining plan options available at World Showcase. :bored: I am considering walking over to Spoodles at Boardwalk Inn for dinner on our Epcot night. I like many World Showcase restaurants that are not included in the plan or would like to try a few that are not--Mexico, Italy, China, so I am also considering not purchasing the plan, even though it would definitely save me money on our upcoming trip in November.
