I'm not sure if anyone will know this here, I may have to post on the US boards, but here goes:

We've booked the dining plan for our trip in Sept (not free, we're paying for it!) and I'm now at the PS/ADR planning stage. I've looked on the dining guides that are available on the web but they only indicate places as counter service/table service/character meals - they don't specify if character meals are counter or table credits.

I'm not sure if they would automatically be classed at table credits because of the character element, or if it depends on the type of service - counter/buffet or waiter/waitress?

Hope someone can help before my brain implodes with all this planning - MS excel is on overdrive!!

Ta, Lynn ;)

we are using the dining plan in september( when are you going in sept ?) as well so far im planning crt and crystal palace character meals as well as psb at epcot
enjoy the planning :)

Hi,

We used the dinning plan in April when we visited, we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace, both character dining locations and they both used 1 table service meal.

We also went to Mickey's Backyard BBQ, this had character's, but you need to use 2 table service meals for this.

Really enjoyed having this dinning plan, we thought well worth the money. Since we have come home disney have added new locations, just my luck!!!!

Just wish that DVC would offer this, as going again in dec this year and june next year, and just can not bear to think about eating outside the parks!!!!!

It spoilt us, normally we eat on International drive, but the parks are so much nicer, and you not have to drive.

Have a nice time.

Tips if you are interested! To get your money worth.

Spoodles really nice, meals for 2 adults and 1 child $109

Cinderellas Royal Table $110

Tony's in Magic Kindgom $84

Thanks for those, we're going Sept 13 - 27 staying in CBR, flying with First Choice from sunny Manchester!

So far we've decided on Crystal Palace breakfast (Winnie & Co.) and Garden Grill in Epcot for Lunch. Kids still debating on Chef Mickeys B/F, CRT lunch, and Princess B/F in Norway (Epcot).

We ate on IDrive mainly last year, which was fine, and had a few great meals in WDW. It will be so good to be able to eat in WDW without having to think at all about the cost (seating permitting!!) I'm considering booking a few t/s reservations this week (90 days from today we go!) and then once we're there if we don't need them I can always cancel the day before.

It's difficult trying to plan when the park hours/EMH aren't out yet, I'm keeping my fingers crossed they don't change too dramatically!

Cheers
Lynn
