For inexpensive & less than 5 miles -
There's a Miller's (named Orlando Ale House), in the Hotel Zone/Crossroads area. It's a Sports Bar with big section for dining (kids ok). Food is cheap, lots of it, & it's good. They have a special for lunches ($5 meals) & each night (cheap lobster dinner, cheap bbq ribs dinner, etc). Leaving DTD on Hotel Blvd, headed towards Crossroads; at light, don't go straight into Crossroads, turn Left onto 535; at light (1st or 2nd; not very far) with Olive Garden on right corner, turn Left - Orlando Ale House is 1st drive on Right.
If turn Right at Olive Garden, there is a Pizza Hut on the Left.
Instead of turning into OAHouse drive, turn Left into strip mall - there is a Subway.
Instead of turning at the Olive Garden road, go straight. Then turn Right at 1st light into strip mall & Fairfield Inn parking lot. There is a Steak & Shake that is a good one - good service, good food. Burger & fries for $4. Between 2-4pm, shakes are half price!
In Crossroads, there is a Taco Bell, Fridays, Red Lobster, Sweet Tomatoes, & others. Can get a sub at Goodings in Crossroads.
Golden Corral on 535 (turn Right instead of going into Crossroads & go under I4. 1st light, turn Left. 1st drive, turn Left.
Instead of turning off 535 for GC, go straight & Wendy's on right.
Or continue on 535 to
Walmart for their subs.
Old Cracker Barrel on 192.
Krispie Kreams on 192.
Enjoy!
