Dining or Dolphin

I can get a teacher's discount and stay at the Dolphin at a good rate. My husband loves the dining plan and I don't know if I can convince him it would be a worthwhile trade-off. Still trying to make-up my mind before 08 rates come out. My DH asks me every night, "So where are we going to stay now?"
He is a patient man!

If the teacher's discount is available for your entire stay (check the Dreams Unlimited website), stay there. You can easily figure out how much you'll save over paying for a room at the neighboring Beach Club.

I'm one of those who think that the room you stay in is not terribly important. I would definitely go for the dining plan.

Hi,

We (me, DW, DD10 and DD6) have battled with this each of the last 5 years or so and once again this year we are going with the Dolphin over the DDP. Even when we are with others who are on the DDP but staying in the Epcot area. We are always together but when it comes to eating we just pay OOP while they use the DDP most of the time.

For me it just comes down to the fact that what I am saving on the room is greater than what we would save using the DDP.

Thanks for the input! Winterman voiced what I think my husband's opinion is. I need to keep my focus on keeping it simple and remembering what makes "Disney Magic" for everyone in the family. For my husband, I think it is not having to pull out his wallet after a meal!
