Good evening, everyone.

My wife and I are taking our first adults only trip this December (16th-20th), and have laid out the following dining plans. Since we don't have the kids, the plan is to hit some of the nicer venues, but I'm a bit concerned that we're going to be overloaded with food. Here is what we've got:

Thursday (BWV):
- Arrive at 4:30PM
- Dinner at 7:15PM - Yachtsman Steakhouse

Friday (BWV):
- Spend day at MK
- Lunch at 12:30PM - Liberty Tree Tavern
- Dinner at 9:30PM - California Grill

Saturday (BWV):
- Spend day at Epcot
- Lunch at 12:15PM - Le Cellier Steakhouse
- Dinner at 7:00PM or 9:00PM - Artist Point

Sunday (AKV):
- Spend morning at AK, afternoon and evening at HS
- Lunch at 11:30AM - Yak & Yeti
- Dinner at 7:15PM - Brown Derby

Monday:
- Breakfast at 7:40AM - Boma
- Depart at 11:30AM

Most everything lines up well with the park we're at, and/or where we're staying, except for Artist Point on our Epcot day. Two concerns:

- Too much "quality" food in one trip
- Getting to Artist Point when we're at Epcot all day

Any thoughts? :)

There is always too much food at Disney, but it's a vacation so just go with it.

As far as getting to Artist's point.
1. Are you sure you wanna miss the fireworks at EPCOT in the evening and don't want to dine there instead or over at Flying Fish at the Boardwalk for convience?

2. If you still want to go to Artist's point, then just go to the front of EPCOT and get on a bus to Wilderness Lodge...voila.
If you are back in the world showcase in the evening, it might actually be quicker to go through the international gateway at the back of EPCOT and take a boat to DHS and then get on the bus to Wilderness Lodge from the front of DHS (if you want the scenic route).

To get back to your resort in the evening, you might have to take a bus to Downtown Disney if the parks are closed and then transfer to a bus to the Boardwalk.

If the MK is still open, you could take the Wilderness Lodge boat to MK then get on the bus back to your Resort.
Or take a cab.
Lots of options...give yourself an hour.

We're not too concerned about the Epcot fireworks, to be honest. We're planning on hopping into Epcot Thursday night after the Yachtsman to see them, and if we miss them both nights, it's no big deal - we've been enough times that it's not a deal breaker.

We also thought about putting Artist Point on our first night (or California Grill on the first night and Artist Point on our MK night), but I'm thinking that Le Cellier for lunch and Yachtsman for dinner would be way too much in one day.

Thanks for the transportation tips. We figure worst case, there's always taxis. :)

meals in four nights. I don't see any problem with that. The times are nicely spread out. You're not scheduling yourself all over the park. I don't see any problem with your schedule or choices.

As two adults who frequently go to WDW by ourselves we don't see anything excessive about your choices. We don't eat big breakfasts, just a quick English muffin or bagel in our villa and then we're off and then we're usually ready for a nice lunch. I see that you've spaced your dining hours apart nicely so that shouldn't be a problem. If you're worried about too much food another option would be to choice lighter lunch choices instead of going with the heavier meals. Also, if you're not on the dining plan you can skip or share desserts. (We don't eat dessert at lunch.) I think that going to Artist's Point for a dinner and visiting WL could be an enjoyable trip, however we do love Flying Fish. We've been to all of the signature restaurants and Brown Derby is our least favorite, but I see that it fits in well with your touring schedule. Have a great time!

We also travel as just 2 adults these days most of the time since our kids are all grown up & only come with occasionally. I don't see anything wrong with your dining plans at all. We usually plan 2 TS meals a day. Since we go during F&W Fest, it's usually breakfast, lunch at the Fest, then a late dinner.

I will say that we are very flexible with our dining plans. We keep about 75% of our plans, but sometimes the end of the day finds us just wanting a light meal & drink at one of the wonderful WDW Lounges. That's a wonderful part of going as 2 adults - you can usually walk up to places like the bar at FF or the Wave with no plans & have a great light meal.

We have been enough times that we are FAR from commando & dining is a big part of our vacation.

Enjoy the adult side of WDW! It is a whole new wonderful experience!

Looks good to me! You have great restaurant choices, and enough time between lunch and dinner that all the walking around the parks will make you hungry again - a perfect plan!
Have fun

I agree with everything she said! As we are doing the same thing the week before you, although we will have a few of our "grown" children with us. We are looking forward to the nice, relaxing meal times... for us it's all part of the "experience" of WDW!! And... you don't HAVE to clean your plate! :)
