I think I remember reading somewhere that if you have ADR you can enter a park to eat without park tickets. Is that correct? We are arriving on a Fri. and were wanting to eat that night but not waste a ticket.
 
Unfortunately, you will need to use a park ticket to eat at any of the in-park restaurants. However, you can eat at any of the excellent resort restaurants without having tickets. (My favorites are Whispering Canyon Cafe and 'Ohana)
 
Whenever I've called to make ADR's, the CM has made sure to tell me which of my choices require park tickets. Many years ago, there were short-term passes for Epcot that were supposedly to allow people in just to dine, but they no longer exist.
