I would like to take advantage of the free dining for Visa holders from Dec. 19-24, but is it too late to get ADR's at all the good restaurants? I know it will be busy that week. Also, am I crazy for wanting to take my 2- and 3-years-olds during one of the busiest times? Thanks for you input!

Honestly, most of the popular restaurants are probably booked up by now. You will just have to call and ask what WDW Dining has available. Afterall, people cancel reservations all of the time. You might luck out and get some good reservations.

I'm going Dec 13-20 (just decided to go) and a lot of the top notch thigns are booked (CRT, California Grille, etc). If you're flexible, you may get one of these. Of the mid-level thigns (Crystal Palace, MGM restaurants) they weren't WIDE open but I got things. Resorts were pretty open. Good luck and keep calling!

I wanted to change some of my ADR's the other day and try to get a dinner at LTT. (I am going during the same time you are in Dec.) It was booked solid, but the cast member told me to try several times a day if need be. I asked him about the 45 day window theory (when people cancel because they have to pay for their packages by that date), but he said openings pop up all the time. One thing that has been useful is to call during "church hours" on Sunday morning. I never have to wait and have gotten some super CM's to help me. One last thing, I think a lot of people are going to be canceling their Christmas trips this year, so keep trying up until the day before you leave and don't hesitate to walk up and ask at the place you really wanted when you are in the Parks, even if you got an ADR at a restaurant that you just booked to have "something". We have been able to get lunch at CRT in peak season several times that way. Don't let the stress of the "perfect meal" overshadow your trip!

I also am going that week. I have added two restaurants in the last two weeks, called both times on Sunday morning, though I had not heard about this tip before, it just worked out that way. I was able to add my two choices, but I was not able to change my time for AK Breakfast Safari at Tusker House to any other time, which I will try to do over the next month since we have a 10:25 ADR. I want an earlier one since I have seen comments that the later it gets the more lackluster the service. If I can't get an earlier one we will still go most likely. This time was the only thing all week open and I booked at at about the 90 day mark. I got dinner at Les Chefs De France and Liberty Tree Tavern lunch just last Sunday.

I just today had to change a reservation to a Dec 16-22 trip (I was supposed to be heading down next week but we have an illness in the family) and got all my desired ressies except Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

I got Crystal Palace, Ohana, Tusker House, Yachtsman's Steakhouse, Playhouse Disney Play and Dine, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Biergarten all today.

I will keep trying for the two I couldn't get!
