Dining in a 2 bedroom villa

In looking at the pictures of the 2 bedroom villas that sleep 8, all except the ones at OKW, seem to be short on chairs for the dining room. Is there a way to request extra chairs, even folding chairs? We are going with our 6 children and are hoping to eat some meals in the villa to cut down on cost. Thanks!

Well, except for OKW, it's pretty tight quarters through there and the dining table isn't very big. If you do want to try to put chairs there, you will have 2 plastic stacking type chairs on your patio/balcony that you can bring in or there is desk-type chairs in the bedroom areas that you can also bring in. You should be able to seat 3 children comfortably on the banquette built in seating at the tables.

There is a bar area on the other side of the kitchen counter where there is some seating area.

For inroom dining with that many people, only OKW is really set up for that.

in the second bedroom is a small table with 2 chairs - just pull that into the livingroom - if you do that you can't open the sleeper sofa.

the kids would probably be happy eating at that kitchen bar type thing.

With 6 kids, I strongly recommend that you stay at OKW.

OKW has larger units.
The washer and dryer are full size.
There's more working room in the kitchen and dinning room.
There is a table for four outside on the balcony.
The second bedroom has two beds, not a bed and a sofa bed.
There is enough room in the living room for air beds.
If you have a car, it's right outside. (The bus service is good too.)

We've stayed in an OKW 2br with 3 adults and 4 kids. The boys had air beds in the living room. They loved it. You can get them for about $15 at wal-mart.

Have fun!

We had the same problem. Dh and I sat on the sofa to eat and let the kids have the table. I did not want them to eat on the sofa in case they spilled something. OKW was good on our last trip b/c we had the table inside and then had a table with 4 chairs on the deck.

We seldom eat in the room so the lack of seating was not a huge issue. AKV did not have the little bar area like SSR and BW.

We normally don't have that large of a party, but we travelled with 7 people in a 2 BR at BCV recently. If there were 2 more chairs in the room, that would have been just about right. The bench could fit about 3, 2 chairs on the other side of the table, and 2 extra chairs for people to sit at the counter. As it was, we ate in shifts somewhat, just because various people were still getting ready in the morning. If there wasn't a spot to eat, the kids ate on the floor...it worked out okay in the end. A bit cramped, but okay.

The only 2 bedroom we stay in is OKW. Last time we went it was myself, DH, DS 19, DS 17, DD 9, MIL, FIL and DN 17. We were very comfortable there. The older kids tended to eat and run though. However I don't think I would even try that big a crowd at one of the others.
