I'm planning on taking a special trip to the World with my 6 year old cousin and 80 year old Grandma, both first timers (Grandma is a world traveler, she will easily keep up :lmao: )

We haven't ironed out hotel reservations/dining plan stuff because I'm indecisive.

BUT we are going at the end of August (yes, I know, HOT) and ADRs are essential because Free Dining MIGHT pop up and I don't want to get "last dibs" because I was a slacker :rotfl2:

My cousin agreed to go if she didn't have to meet any characters, I won't push anything (she hates clowns and won't go to the circus either).

So far, I have:
1900 Park Fare for dinner (face characters, figure they are different and I've never been)
50's Prime Time for lunch (love that place for some weird reason)
Crystal Palace at 8:15am (my favorite time/place but I'll cancel it if my cousin doesn't want to go...)

I need a few more dinner suggestions for the three of us, we are definitely adventurous eaters and my cousin is an easy kid who will sit quietly but I was looking for something yummy but different.

Any ideas???

Well, Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot's World Showcase is yummy and different, and the live music and belly-dancer are very entertaining.

We tried the Wave in the CR on our trip in November, and the food was awesome! Cool decor, too.

:sunny:

I have never eaten here... had reservations last month but canceled them... Liberty Tree Tavern. I heard the food there is excellent!!! Another idea would be Coral Reef in Epcot and they say Kona Cafe is really good too! Whatever you chose you will have a great time :)!

We are trying out Ohana for the first time this trip. It looks to be a very fun family place with a great environment.

Coral Reef is very cool... try and get table right beside the tank.

Teppan Edo is fun.

We love the atmosphere of the Mexican restaurant...

Biergarten-love! Go every trip!
Sci-fi! great theme for kids.
I like Cosmic Ray's Cafe too, but that is QS. A lot of the others I like are character breakfast?
I like Akershus for breakfast, thats just the princesses!
Magical Wishes:wizard:

Don't know how much time you are there but they would both like HDDR. No character and it is great! And the food is pretty good also. Fun, fun show.

Teppan Edo, 'Ohana dinner, Sci Fi, San Angel Inn & Biergarten are fun for kids with no characters.

Liberty Tree Tavern is family-style, and we are trying Cape May Cafe dinner since it's a clam-bake.

Liberty Tree Tavern had the best breakfast - maybe if you have to cancel Crystal Palace - that would be a good replacement.

Whispering Canyon was fun. No characters - but fun stuff for the kids. Grandma might get a kick out of it as well.

Coral Reef

Biergarten

My kids loved all these places sans characters.

For lots of "fun" for the family with no characters:

HDDR, Coral Reef, Biergarten, 'Ohana dinner.

My suggestions are :

Biergarten (Epcot) - SO much fun and great food too!

Whispering Canyon Cafe - yummy

O'Hana - Fun and yummy as well!

Thanks all!

My cousin has a peanut allergy so I'm hesitant to try Ohana, I know that Disney can and will accommodate us but I want to try that peanut dipping sauce! :rotfl2:

I'll definitely add in Biergarten and Kona (always great reviews, always wanted to try) and consider Liberty Tree Tavern for Crystal Palace if necessary (great idea!)

I'll look into HDDR too
