We are a family of 5. Our children will be 7, 5, and 2 when we go to WDW. We are planning on doing the dining plan when we go in Jan. Here are my thoughts on dining - please give me your feedback.

TS
'Ohanas
LeCellier
Coral Reef
Crystal Palace-Breakfast
Wolfgang Cafe
50's PTC
Teppanyaki

CS
Earl of Sandwich
Pecos Bill
Columbia Harbor House
CS at POFQ
Flame Tree
Tusker House
Casey's or Cosmic Ray's

Look forward to everyone's feedback. So far this site has been loaded with GREAT info.! :thumbsup2

I've tried some of the places you listed, so here goes. My dining review has more details about the places I've written about to this point. Le Cellier was great. We all liked it except my sister who doesn't really care for steak. The filet mignon was better than the NY strip steak.

Cosmic Ray's ribs & chicken meal can easily be split and tastes good. Tusker House was also good. Earl of Sandwich was good too, but the other ones I mentioned were better.

With kids the ages you have, I'd try to work in one or both of my kids' favorites: Chef Mickey's and Whispering Canyon Cafe. I'd omit Wolfgang Puck which does not scream "Disney" and is not all that fun for kids and do one of those I just mentioned.

Have a great time!

Funny! My kids are a bit older (6.8. and 9) but I have picked almost the same restuarants! Le Cellier, Tepp, Coral Reef, 50's. Downtown just seems like too much hassle, so no on Wolfgang. We are definitely doing Marrakesh also. I have an ADR at Ohana, but think I am going to scrap it for WCC--food sounds better and there is the option of ordering off a menu also. Thought the boat ride over would be different (because we're not staying at a boat transpo resort) and I hear that WL is fun to check out. Also plan to go to Alfredo's because Italian food is our family's mainstay.
I thought it was interesting to find someone else with children that wasn't doing the character and buffet circuit. I really wanted to try LTT for the obligatory character meal but then heard a lot of bad things about food quality....kids are all boys, and maybe a little old for the character thing anyway and I really don't think they care (have never even been excited about Santa!) Also going to Sci Fi for OOP lunch/snack.
I'm interested to hear whatever input you get.

We just returned last week. For TS out of your selection we ate at Le Cellier, Coral Reef and Crystal Palace breakfast. We did Ohana last trip. We had a great server at Le Cellier. Took her a while to get to our table once we sat down, but after she came the first time, she was perfect. Stay away from the cheese platter appetizer unless you are really into strange food, LOL! My dh and I both ordered steaks. He had the mushroom and I had the filet on top of the mashed potatoes. Both were good, but not as good as the steak at Kona's. My ds 8 ordered at steak off the kids menu, and it was a nice size and very tender. At Coral Reef I had the Mahi Mahi which was good. Dh said his steak ranked right up there with a Ponderosa steak  Very noisy restaurant, but the tanks were cool. The chocolate wave dessert was the best part about it and the best dessert of our trip. I always love Crystal Palace for breakfast :) We had a great server this time. I wish I could remember her name. There was a family 2 tables over that was reaming the management because they said Eeyore skipped their table twice.
As far as your CS goes, you made some great choices. I loved Flame Tree at AK. I had the pork sandwich and it was delicious. We always eat at Cosmic Rays each trip. This time I had the roasted chicken. It was tasty. Casey's is a great place too. If you can squeeze both of those in, that might be a good idea :) Earl of Sandwhich was good when we went on our last trip, but very long lines. Boy I sure rambled on here. I think you have made some great choices! Enjoy!

TS
'Ohanas - one of our favorites :thumbsup2
LeCellier - tried it; we're not big steak fans but it was good
Coral Reef - good food, small portions but that won't be a problem if you are on the dining plan
Crystal Palace-Breakfast - a must do for us
Wolfgang Cafe - never tried it
50's PTC - good food and lots of fun
Teppanyaki - haven't tried it

CS
Earl of Sandwich - we eat here at least 2 times every trip
Pecos Bill - our favorite CS in MK
Columbia Harbor House - our 2nd favorite CS in MK
CS at POFQ - never been there
Flame Tree - our favorite CS in AK
Tusker House - good
Casey's or Cosmic Ray's - our 3rd favorite CS in MK; we haven't tried Casey's

With kids yours' age, I would think that a couple more character meals would be on your list -- like Chef Mickey or Garden Grill. Whispering Canyon Cafe would also be a good choice. Actually, with kids the same age as yours, I would probably eat at Garden Grill instead of Coral Reef. IMHO, unless you are seated near the fish tank, your kids may not enjoy it as much as a revolving restaurant with Mickey, Chip and Dale. Have fun :sunny:

Earl of Sandwich----Very Good
Le Cellier-----Good steak, but California Grill is better
CS- POFQ------not impressed with it except for the beignets at breakfast :thumbsup2

'Ohanas was great, but we had the old menu, the new menu looks good too. The girls had fun with the games. We have been here twice. Both times were great!

We liked Tusker House over Flame tree, both were good, but when we go we choose Tusker House. The Salmon is very good, my husband dreams about that dish and a large Ale beer from the Tusker House :lmao: Columbia Harbour House has the most fantastic Tuna Sandwich!!!! Love it! Eat here every time we go to the MK. Pecos Bills had a great fixins bar for the burgers.

Cosmic Rays I don't like. We have tried this place and as far as counter service I would rather go to CHH or Pecos Bills if I had to choose. El Pirata Y El Perico when it is open. Both times in July it has been open. pirate: :rainbow:

We love the Teppanyaki Dining Room. The food is great, and watching knife-juggling is quite entertaining for kids. They love eating with chopsticks.
