dining credit question

Do I have to use a credit for every TS for every person in our party? With a 7 and 4 year old, I'm wondering if I should order 1 child's dinner and have then split it. You know how kids are, sometimes all that food goes to waste if they aren't hungry or very distracted. I don't know if spitting a meal is allowed. On the deluxe plan an appetizer is included. I can see my kids enjoying the appetizer (finger foods)and not even touching their meal. Thanks.

We never had a problem with splitting a kid's meal. If you're on the deluxe plan though I don't know what you'll be able to do with the saved credits.

Splitting meals is allowed, as long as the people splitting are on the plan. (That is, you can't split a meal with someone not on your dining plan.) Of course, you will have extra child credits piling up that you will need to use-or-lose if you do this. On deluxe, I don't see how this will help at all unless you're going to do a lot of 2-credit meals to use up the extra child credits.

As for children's appetizers -- they aren't, really. A child's meal is basically an entree plus two kid's sides. If you go with the standard set-up one side is an "appetizer" (typically fruit cup, apple slices, carrot/celery sticks, bowl of soup, etc.) and the other is a dessert (ice cream, cookie, yogurt parfait, etc.). The appetizers are not the same as on the adult menu. You can mix-and-match as you like, however -- e.g., get two "appetizers" or two "desserts".
