Hello everyone!

This will be my first BIG post here on this site and I'm really excited to learn and experience the joy of Disney through this board.

My question is as follows: I have a 6 night/ 5 day trip planned for the 2nd week in September and I'm trying to round out my budget so I know exactly what I'll need to have in the bank by then. Hotel and ticket costs are all pretty solid so I know what I'm getting there however I'm having trouble solidifying by dinning budget. It's just going to be me and my, hopefully by the end of the trip, fiance.

I plan on doing on average one CS and one TS meal each day we're in the parks (5). SO:

CS = $30 per meal at 5 meals = $150
TS is where I'm getting flustered though. Right now I'm planning on having us eat at; 'Ohana ($50pp), California Grill ($45pp), Chefs de France ($35pp), Via Napoli ($35pp), Rainforest Cafe ($35pp), and maybe Yak and Yeti ($35pp). Alternate in there is CRT ($60pp)

This gives me a total of somewhere between $450-550 on TS meals.

Total that would make it somewhere around $700-775 including the trip down (:drive:) and trip back north. Also, I'm planning on taking her on a Wild Africa Trek which (should) cut out a meal somewhere. I just wanted to make sure you guys thought I was on the right track.

THANKS!

Are you not staying on property? If you are, you should really consider the dining plan. Otherwise, I think your numbers sound good.

Those are pretty good estimates in my opinion. Don't forget to budget in snacks/drinks!

Are you factoring tax/tips into your budget?
Definately budget additional for snacks.
Adult beverages?
What about breakfast? - even if you are having pastry and coffee/juice..that will add up.

Great point. Usually we don't have much, if anything for breakfast. Last visit I just packed us a box of pop tarts and we were set.

Great points. I should add in about $10 a day for snacks and drinks. Generally we do a good job of bringing a water bottle and packing snacks though. However, better to be safe than sorry.

We are staying on property. However last time we did the math on the dining plan and it just didn't add up. It was cheaper to not to it and I'm pretty sure that will hold true this time.
