Dining at Sci-Fi...

We are a family of 5 would we still be seated in a car at Sci-Fi?

I don't think this is a problem, as there are cars with space for 6. Both times we , a party of 4, ate there, a couple joined us. We had the car, they had the trunk.

I would think that you would have to ask to get a car, but i dont see why not!! Some of the car's have three row's and each row can seat two people, so one person in your party would have to sit on their own bench, but all 5 of you could be in the same car!! Sci Fi is so much fun! It's a must do on every one of our trips!!! Have fun!!!!

They can also put a chair on the end of one of the dashboards if the 5th person doesn't want to sit alone.

Yes. No problem with seating five. The problem I have with this restaurant is the food and service. Both poor the two times I've eaten there.

I would request for a car for you and your guests. You might have to wait a few extra minutes for a table, but it will be worth it!

Family of 5 here. Did it last year youngest was only 18 months so he sat between me and DH and the 2 kids sat in front of us and we had two people behind us (asked us if it would be ok before they did that which I thought was nice). Fit fine but we could have used the back of the car if we needed too.

Last November there were 5 of us (adults) and we had lunch at Sci-Fi. We had a car too. It was plenty of room! We sat 2 in front, 1 in the middle, and 2 in the back. Food was really good and we had a great waitress and we had a blast!

Just thought I'd mention that when I made my ADR for Sci-Fi we were trying to get close to my target time and the girl making the reservation said we could do such and such a time but there is no car seating. So, she was making a reservation for our party of 6 when a car would be available.

Don't know if this helps or not, but thought it was worth mentioning.

I have been there once about 8 years ago and although I don't remember the food or service being that great it is the one restaurant my daughter still remembers and enjoyed the most, so it was worth every penny to me.

We ate at Sci-fi last week for lunch. We really enjoyed it. Of course we had burgers and shakes. I saw a family of 5 being sat at a car. You sit 2 in a row and one person would sit alone like in the pic above! Have fun

I wasn't asked if we wanted a car or not when I made my ADR for July. She never mentioned anything to me otherwise. We will be a party of 6 and that was one of the draws to eating there as in every picture you see people eating in cars. LOL

We didn't when making the ADR but we requested it when we checked in. There are quite a few non car tables and someone has to get those so if you really want a car make sure to ask...that's just imo! Have fun.

I posted this on another thread, but it may interest you here as well:

I actually just called and checked my reservation. The CM told me I was automatically put in a car for 4, which always happens if the cars are available unless the guest requests NOT to be in a car.

I agree it is chilly in there , but such a relief from the heat!!
