Dining alerts?

We had to reschedule our trip & now I can't get any dining reservations for our new dates. I saw from a Google search there are a few websites that will keep scanning and alert you when a reservation becomes available. Some paid, some free. No idea if they are reliable - does anyone have any recommendations or experiences? Thanks so much.

I use Mouse Dining - they have a free option which allows up to 6 alerts, but it only goes to e-mail and not text. I opted for the cheapest fee option which allows more alerts and texts. You have to be super fast when that text comes up, but I have been able to snag everything I wanted (Lamplight, Napa, Blue Bayou, Carthay). Some of my times are a little funky (super early dinners, for instance), but as we get closer to our trip (we leave mid-August), I get alerts, pretty much daily, as people cancel and reservations open up.

Worked great for us! We got everything we wanted. We used both Mouse Dining and Mouse Watcher.

I had the free service set up for quite a while before our October trip for alerts and it worked for one of the reservations I wanted, and then when I still didn't have everything I really wanted (and the times I wanted), I paid for the other service about a week and a half before our trip. Both are great--- and I noticed that about a week before our trip and especially all the way through our trip-- my phone was blowing up with alerts. I already had gotten the rest of what I wanted with the paid service before we arrived, but I certainly would have had lots of options. I felt like the money was well spent-- one of the ones we got was Lamplight Lounge Brunch, and that was our favorite meal of the trip.

One thing you do need to do is go into Mouse Dining every few days and be sure your alerts are still showing as active. I noticed that mine were turning off. I feel like maybe it was happening when I would click on an alert to try to get the reservation, but the Disney website would tell me I was too late it was gone. Maybe mouse dining assumed that I had gotten it? Or maybe they only last a certain amount of time? Not sure, but I did have to reactivate alerts several times.

Grab the first one you can get, and then you can let the alerts keep working in hopes of getting a better time. Be sure your phone is set up for you to get notices. Also, when I kept clicking through the app and it being too late to pick up the reservation, I made sure I stayed logged into the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland website on my computer if I was working and near it and then the minute I got an alert, I would click through the DL app or website itself to book the dining. Good luck!!! I hope you can pick up everything you want.

I’m so glad I read
