Ding won't work have XP

I have Windows XP and it works fine. I have gotten the communication error twice but I just exit the program and restart it. Nothing I can use has DINGED for me yet though.

got it work somehow, and I got dinged by it was over.

I occasionally get those errors and I think it has to do with the Internet connection. Give it a few minutes and it should work.

I have XP, and no problem with this - I've been getting "Dinged" almost every day.

Yes I have windows xp also and get the "error" also..fooled around with the firewall settings that I was advised to do but when I go to book something it won't let me..have any of you tried to book something yet? even if you don't want to just try to put in something and click book it now..let us know if it works..thanks marianne

bunnymkc, are you putting in your dates at the top of the DING! page before you click on "Book Now"? I know that I was just scrolling down to my home airport and clicking on the button without realizing that you need to input you dates at the top of the page first. If you don't put your dates in, it will bring up an error page.

I have tried to reisntall it 4 times- deleted all cookies and even tried burning it to cd and trying to install it that way--still telling me it is not a valid win32 application.............

This is how I have fixed similar type of problems...

Go to www.google.com and put in the exact word for word writing that comes up.

Often times others have had the same problem and a whole bunch of links come up for Bulletin Boards for those people who know how to program computers etc....

This is how I fixed a similar problem.

Now, with my DING program on XP, I have to open it up each time I turn my computer on, or it does not work. Once it is open and working the "background" then it will pop up on my screen. But it does not make a DING noise, which I thought it would. Anyone else out there? does it make a ding noise?

I just booked tickets today DING- (not to orlando, unfortunately). I got Baltimore to Salt Lake City for $129 each way. I usually get 2-3 ding updates a day. I watched it for a week before getting one that would work for me. I was able to book the tickets without a hitch.
