Ding and ME questions....

I just signed up for Ding...and now I'm a Ding addict...I just wish I did it sooner.

Here are my questions:

If the "Internet One Way" fare is no longer available for the flight you want, will SWA still offer a Ding fare?

I made the mistake of booking R/T, so my flight down is $69 and back is $79, but the "IOW" fare is no longer available for the flight to Orlando. But, if possible and if it saves us significant $, we could book the 8:25 flight the night before and stay at a hotel. Which leads to the 2nd question....

Can we stay at a hotel at or near the airport, and then catch ME the following morning? If so, would we be able to catch an earlier ME? And also if so, is the hotel in the airport pricey? Or is there a better one to stay at?

I can only answer the DME question ....

You can only use DME on your WDW resort arrival day and your WDW resort departure day. If you fly in the night before, then you CAN use DME the following day, on the day you are checking in to your WDW resort.

If the "internet only" fare is not available the Ding fare will come up "unavailable" if you try to book it. I think SW offers Dings in order to fill up their "internet only" fares which have not yet been purchased.

I have, however, seen internet fares become available on flights that previously indicated that they were "unavailable" so it pays to keep looking!
