For anyone who has done this, I have two questions:

1. Is it worth it for a 3 1/2 year old, or will it be too much talk and not enough action?

2. Which has better food -- the breakfast or the lunch?

Thanks!

I did Dine with Shamu "pre-incident", so I'm not sure what the trainers will do now that there are far more restrictions on the interaction with the whales. At ours, it was actually almost all talk and no action. Basically you just eat while the trainers talk about the animals and they walk around to see if anyone has any questions for the trainers. It's not a show by any means. Basically just a chance for you to eat next to a whale swimming around.

I did the lunch. There was so REALLY good tortellini and a great dessert selection, but everything else was so-so.

Hmm...hard to say if my 3 year old would think just watching the whale swim around would be cool/interesting enough. I will think about it! Thanks.

I did it pre and post accident... Food is great breakfast and lunch. The last two times I did it had pretty good action and pretty good photo op too

Reporting back - we did the lunch with Shamu this past Saturday, and really enjoyed it. My 3 1/2 year old really enjoyed it -- Shamu was so close! We went to the Shamu show first, then to lunch. Food was kind of "eh", but DS thought it was great :-) Lots of fun, and a worthwhile experience.

Wow we were there toon sat! We
Got a pretty good table where they had that giant slide out and the whales made perfect photo op from our seat!
