We will be celebrating my DD's 5th B'day in October at 1900 Park Fare. Initially when I made my ADR's, I reserved a table for 11. Three people from my party are unable to make dinner so now I have a party of 8. I know if I cancel the ressie I won't be able to rebook a party of 8. Should I just show up and tell them at the podium that three of my guests can't make it?

I feel bad about fibbing but I don't want to ruin my DD's birthday.

WWYD??

I would call ahead and ask if three don't come then what and see if the CM's give you an option. They may verywell be able to split a table off your ADR. If they say you will have to cancel and risk not getting one then I would say you need to check farther about your party size and then just go.

JMHO- I doubt they would wait to fill it with another large party but, would probably split the tables

Good luck it should be fun for DD.

For your reservation for a party of 11, there are probably three tables of four set aside for you. By calling to remove the three people and take it down to 8, you are actually doing a good thing. You will go down to two tables of four and free up the other table for another party.

Call and find out. Just say that this MIGHT happen and what would be the consequences.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I didn't think about it opening another table for someone else.

Tinksfriend: My ADR is for Oct 17th. Sorry

And if, when you call, the CM says you can't do that, and that there are no reservations for eight, just say thank you and hang up. Just show up with your eight people.
