Going to Disney Next Feb/March. First few days will be spent in Fort Myers visiting with in-laws. So, I don't get a full week. We will be staying at Disney from Feb 27th (Monday) through March 4th (Saturday). Previously have stayed at ASMU, ASMO and POP and like them all. Was looking to venture out a bit and try a moderate - deciding between CBR and CSR (both have appeal to me). Then I came across the DVC boards and read about renting points. Well I could stay at the Beach Club Villas for $110 a night (at 10 a point), which would be about the same as a value. The only hitch is that the Friday night would be $320 for the night. So, do I book the Beach Club for Monday - Thursday and go either to a value or offsite on Friday Night (seems like it might be a bit of a hassle) or do I book a moderate for the full stay. Also, am very interested in the dining plan, which I know you cannot do on the DVC's. Looking for any input on this. Thanks Much.

I could be wrong but I don't think you can add the dining plan to DVC, I think it is for rooms and tickets together.

However, you will have a kitchen in your DVC so you could eat there. Personally I would opt to go for the DVC for M-T and then pop over to a value for the last night.

I have resort switched before and its not a huge deal. Of course I stayed 4 nights at one before moving to the other.

I guess it depends on if you are staying in your room alot and if you would like the little bit of time wasted to check out and check in again.

What size villa are you looking at? And how many people do you have in your party? If you are looking at a studio, be aware that the size isn't that much larger than a moderate room. You will have a micro, toaster, fridge and sink. But at the moderate you will have a fride also. And you will have a queen bed and a double sofa bed (which can be a little on the uncomfy side). I'm assuming that since you are looking at a moderate you will have 4 or fewer in your group.

I own at DVC and I love the moderates..POR being one of my favorite resorts. If you can get a decent rate at a moderate, I think I would just do that. You get two double beds and in most cases double sinks, and I believe most of them now have a privacy drape up. And I love the food courts...you don't get that option for a quick bit at the villas. And you can't get the food plan either.

There would be 4 of us . Me, DH, DS(7) and DD(4). Since, we only have 4 and 1/2 days not sure how much time we will actually get to spend at the hotel. But the kids do enjoy just going swimming and hanging out also. Would like to see all 4 parks but not sure as I like to go to MK for 2 days. So many decisions. I wish I could get DH to skip the Fort Myers part as his parents only live 15 miles from us and are there in the winter only - so, it's not like we don't ever see them. But, that's what I had to use as a compromise to get back to Disney this year instead of going somewhere else.
