I have 43 photos between the BBB and the princess breakfast to digi scrapbook and I have no idea on what to start with or what to choose, what photos not to choose. I have the princess set with the pumpkin and shoe, but I am clueless on how to make this a special couple of pages. I attached the link to the photos. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much!!

wow...I've been buried at work for a week and I've missed so much here!

nicurn - I love that 8th grade trip page - the whole thing. It's beautiful!

ceemys - You have some great pictures to choose from! That is one of my biggest problems - I always end up wanting to get them all in the layouts! There are so many more talented people than I so I hope they will have suggestions. All the layouts here are great inspiration.

raestr - I've looked and looked for that original link to the disney people - I know you asked when I used them as well. I just can't find them. It was most likely in the door magnet topic as that is where I started reading prior to our Disney trip this year but I just haven't located it or it is gone. :(

Laura - that's a GREAT intro page. Beautiful girls - great pic and the layout is very nice.

Fran - for some reason I can't see your pics. Did you break the links? Or perhaps it is a computer issue for me.

I'm not done catching up - there were so many great layouts. I'll be back!

Here is one more from me:

Christy,

Thanks for the reminder about the sale. And I can't believe that your DS actually got something out of one of those claw machines! Good job!

And cute lo, too! :goodvibes

I'm behind on this thread; really great work everyone.

Christy - my 14yo DD has a real talent for those machines. She almost always gets something. Part of it is being able to tell what can be picked up. You'll have to see if your son has that, makes her very popular with her friends at parties they have her do it for them.

Here's a definite keeper that I just completed at the speed scrap. I just love it when the LO comes together easily. But sometimes it's just a struggle to finish on time!

This is absolutely a keeper! I'm amazed that you did this in a speed scrap! Wow....just wow. I am so wanting to scrap lift this.

Christy you are fast becoming my scrap idol! I love these!

Wen: How did you do the little cloudy white part??

They're clouds from a kit called Weather, I just layered them and lowered them at different opacities. It's by Sussie at Bluebell Designs. I have no idea if it's still available or not I've had it for quite some time.

wenrob: Cool page! I love when you can make a single photo just pop!

Christy - As always - love the look, the layering...lol..you're just good!

How does everyone keep their digi papers and elements organized? I make a lot of things myself and many times don't even keep them - I just design for the page I'm working on and then don't savethem. But I have bought some kits recently (due to you all!) and I've been downloading freebies for a long time. I'm thinking about transferring elements and papers to cd's by category - even if I have to duplicate some things within categories. Has anyone done that?

Here is the second page to the MNSSHP parade posted above:

The boxes template is from Mo Jackson.

Great pics and perfect Halloween colors!

I keep a file called "Wen's Digi Scrapping"
inside:
Alpha
Word Art
Frames
Fonts
Elements(inside folders such as, hangers, strings etc) and so on. I keep these numbered to keep them up top.
Then after those my kits. I generally separate my alpha from the kit but keep the rest together. If I move a kit to my EHD sometimes I'll pull a favorite frame or whatever and add it to the upper categories. In general I keep all my alpha and elements packs on my computer and favored kits. Everything else is on my EHD arranged the same way.

Wen -- LYL at SM .... but wanted to say I love that page. The clouds are just too cool.... and love the glitter and overlay... Your kids are cuties.

Nocruisecontrol -- Those are some great pics. That box template is really neat.... Very cool!

I'm struggling with organization... I prefer just to keep my kits in folders by kit/designer name.... and then organize by theme (Holiday kits, Disney kits, Summer Kits, Fall Kits, etc....)

Christy Very nice; I keep looking at the Apple kit but can't think of any pictures I have that it would work for but it is so pretty. Love how you've used it.

Barbara Neat way to do lots of pictures; that is hard for me.

I've organized my kits into these sections - Alphas, Pages (QP's), Papers, Stickers, Frames and Journaling & Tags. I've downloaded too many freebies and they were bulky so I moved my favorite stuff into the same categories but different folders. I use search to find everything in a kit so I like when the files are named in a way that it works well (Britt & a few others always do this). I do have a portable HD that I've put them on so space isn't as much of a problem.

Did everyone have a great time with DSD this weekend? Does anyone have any money left in their Paypal? LOL

I hosted a couple of speed scraps this weekend and had a great time with them. When I do speed scraps, I just write up the instructions before hand with what feels/sounds right at the time. Then I go through the instructions and do the scrap just like everyone else (and try not to think about what the later instructions are). These are a couple I did this weekend. You can click on the photos for credits.

Laura and Barbara,

Thank you both for trying to find the Disney people for me. Sorry I missed them, but at least I can admire them on other people's pages.

Rae

I like to keep my kits together. I have a folder for each designer. Inside that folder are folders for all the alphas, then one for misc. elements, and another for templates. Then each kit gets its own folder. I usually will move the alphas from a kit into the alpha folder since I like to mix and match those and its easier to have all the alphas in one place. And I've learned to keep the ZIP files for templates since I have been known to save over the original PSD file after I've changed up the template. OY! So I have a folder of all the zipped up templates. I also have a folder of various designers that I might have just one or two kits from.

Here's a few more pages completed for DD's second grade school book.
