I like it the way it is Melissa, it conveys just the right feeling. Beautiful work as always.

Melissa, that is such a powerful LO just as it is. In my opinion, it doesn't need anything added. Beautiful job.

Melissa, those pages are phenomenal. The Witness page actually made me cry, and the Civil War title gave me goosebumps. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see more.

Melissa - again, I'm loving your layouts. The ones of the Holocaust Museum are fantastic. That is my favorite museum of all time (as far as building design & layout, displays, information, etc.) but once was enough. It really is something that everyone should go to at least once - and plan on spending a whole day there, too!

Melissa, the shoe page is perfect the way it is; powerful. Love all of your travel pages.

Melissa -- Gorgeous, somber, meaningful LOs... wow ... so amazing!
Thanks guys!!! :grouphug: Your input helped a lot! I really liked it as it is, but thought it might be too simple, but the message and image is whats important with that one so I think it works. I posted it at SM and linked it above. I think there will be 2 more Holocaust Museum layouts.

Though the layout I'm working on now is a much happier one. :) With lots of bright colors. For some reason when I listen to the soundtrack for the "The Tudors" it just puts me in a more somber mood and inspires me to work on my historical/museum layouts. Not sure why, but that has been the playlist I've listened to most of this week and it seems most of my work has been about remembering different events and places.

Thanks again for all the kind comments. :)

Christy too cute! It makes me feel nostalgic, I was team mom for Tiana's team for five and half years. Your pics came out fab. What lens did you use? Take the plunge, you know you want too! I'm currently thinking of selling my D40 because I want the D90 so bad.

Hi Wen -- I used the Nikkor 70-300mm for these. I really have no clue what I am doing yet. My BIL is a bachelor and has a whole photog "aresenal," so he said we can keep the camera and play with his lenses for as long as we want. I DEFINITELY have my eye on the D90... if I go for it, that'll probably be what I get. The LENSES are what kill me though... my GOSH they can add up.

OK, I finished the one I was working one. I think I changed this one and started from scratch like 5 times. I'm finally happy with the end result though. Its for the Words for Wednesday Challenge to scrap a page without pictures. For mine I used the story of our flight from Detroit to Manchester last year. I defnitely wanted to include this in my scrapbook, but didn't have any photos, so this was the perfect challenge.

Yeah they do! I'd suggest on borrowing and playing with as many as you can. How nice of your BIL! Looking forward to seeing more.

Janette -- It looks perfect! Your pics look fantastic, and I love how the look of the title kind of mimics the scrolled paper thinges under the one picture. Also love your subtle embellies.... that little blue butterfly is SO CUTE! I'm totally going to lift this once I gets some pics that would go with a LO like this! :goodvibes

Well it's been a while since I've posted here. :( My creativity had seemed to fly out the window with this pregnancy. Well when Polka Dot Potato had their 12 x 12 prints 40% off last Monday, I ordered 15. :O The crazy thing about that is at that point i only had 7 to print! So I have 2 weeks to do the other 8 and I'm happy to say that I have already completed 6 of them. :) I had to make 2 double page layouts for a class I'm teaching at the LSS next month and the flood gates seemed to have finally opened again and I've been able to start scrapping again. ;) I wanted to share them with you all tonight but for some reason I'm having trouble finding where to upload them to my photobucket account since it's been so long since I've used it. I log in and get to my stuff but then can't find where to upload or even edit anything. :( So if anyone can help me figure it out I will get them uploaded and posted here. ;)
Just have to say that the layouts that have been posted since I've been off have been fantastic. :)

Here is the layout I did for this week's template challenge at SM. I changed the template all around.

Here's a fun kit that I made using one of Britt-ish Designs templates (modified) and her "Tell No Tales" kit. It was perfect for these photos. The "argh" came from a freebie download, and I don't have the designers name. Fonts are Treasure Map Deadhand and Pieces of Eight (sorry that the journaling is too small here to read.)

That turned out awesome! I love that template, I've used it twice and I'm not a template user, lol!

Everyone's layouts have been great! I love looking at them. :goodvibes

Here are a few more. And yes, we love baseball!

This next LO is a scraplift from a LO by Christine, one of the designers at ScrapMatters. I loved her LO, knowing that it would be perfect for the pics. (I hope it's okay to post scraplifts here!):

And one of my faves from Disneyland. I may re-do the page to get more pics in, but who knows. I just like tinkering with things, that's all!

Here is my layout from yesterday's speed scrap:

And the one I did for the telephone game at ScrapMatters.

A Handful of Pixie dust

I thought about Melissa's sister the whole time I was working on this LO. Two guesses why! :rotfl: I hope she likes it!

Paper, etc. by Britt!

Finished, yeah!

My friend had twins, surprise, surprise in July and before she even had them we talked about putting together their birth announcement. Well, we finally took some time the other night (an hour and a half) trying to get just the right pictures, it was a job but alot of fun. I basically had the layout set-up and just needed the pictures. So while I was at her house we uploaded, inserted and tweaked this layout and then sent it over to Costco for a sample print. I have to say, I love Costco . . . so for .39 cents each Bonnie has her birth announcements and is tickled pink with the results.

Thanks to Bonnie for encouraging me to start getting serious and designing for others. I set up my blog and have begun adding some of the work that I have been doing. I hope to start putting some of my digital scrapbooking designs on the blog soon to share with others.
