Congrats! That's so awesome! :dance3:

Thank you. I'm so excited. I had been nearly bursting at the seems wanting to share the good news, but had to wait for Britt to announce it. I've been busy working on new layouts for Britt. I can't tell you guys anything specific, but the new products are soooooo cool. I love them all. :)

Thank you again!!! :) Off to go work on another layout! ;)

I would love to chat with a designer to hear HOW you make all of those papers and the pngs to go with it-

I mean- how do you get them to be such a high resolution that when you print 12x12 they are still clear? do you take photos and then manipulate it in PSE? what, how?

it's so fun!

where does all of the art work come from????

so interesting!!!!

Congratulations to all of you!

Emerson That's a great LO!! Seriously! Great job! Now, do you remember which kit that frame was in? Don't worry about it if you don't. I really like the hang-ties with the frame.

Melissa Congratulations! That is great. First Fran is published and now you are on a CT! You will be fabulous! And a bonus is you get to see the kits before the rest of the world!

i posted the frame freebie spot and the rest I put together myself from all of the different freebies I found along the way-
I just made circles from the papers from AK.....
and that metal thing is like my FAVORITE thing EVER - it's a doodle something or other- and I got that from a freebie spot too-

I will learn to write down or store the info on the parts that I find....

how do you keep track? Do you just list the web site? or the designer's name if you know it???

SO much fun!

Dreamcruiser Where did you get the cute mickey Buttons. Is that the Leave the World Behind Add on and if so where did you get it. I have that kit, but unless I am blind I do not have those adorable mickey head buttons.

The Mickey Buttons are in the freebie add-ons Britt posts on her blog.
The one that went with Leave the World Behind was Mouse in the House..... I think Labdogs has the freebies listed on her blog... but I also posted the links over on the cruise board because some people were asking... so I'll copy and paste them here too.... :)

Yep, you can always find them on my blog!! I'm really trying to make it a comprehensive list of cool disney freebies and kits. I added some new stuff today!

Congratulations to you, Yzerbear! I can't wait to see all the cool stuff you get to make with Britt's new kits!!!

I'm sure the more experienced will have a better way, but this is what I do:
For kits, I store them under the designer's name followed by subfolders with the kit names. Example:
KITS
--> Brittish Designs
----->Leave the World Behind
----->Dreams Do Come True
For items that are not part of kits (such as a freebie frame or an alpha), I also have catagories like: alphas, backgrounds, embellishments, templates, tags, word art, etc. Under the the catagory of embellishments I list things like: frames, ribbons, etc.

I'm sure there are better ways out there.
When giving credit to a LO, I list the designer's name and the name of the kit.

I need to get a better system. When I first started getting the freebies- you know- 100's at a time- all day long for a week!!!! I was taking them OUT of the folders they extracted to- and just putting every single piece in one big folder called Digi Stuff--- BAD move---- now I am struggling!

thanks for the idea to KEEP them in the folders- Ya would think i would have thought of that--- I didn't realize then how hard it would be to give credit...

thank yoU!

I consolidate the whole kit into one folder and make sure to keep a copy of the preview in the folder as it has the name of the kit, the designer's name and the shop it came from on it.(if you rename the preview 'folder.jpg' then when you open your scrap folder you'll get a quick glance at all your stuff) If the name of the folder is all abbreviations and initials I will rename it so it makes sense to me. Example: brittdes-ltwb will become, brittish-Leave the World Behind. However, I leave Britt's kits named as they are as I know them so well I know what the initials mean. I have a mater digi folder with my full kits then categories of Alpha, elements, frames, templates etc, these are numberd so they stay toward the top of the list and are easy to find. I don't put the designers or shops into their own folders because I make sure my kits are named consistently so they are already in alphabetical order. The best advice I can give is to pick a way to organize, stick to it and do it as soon as you can after you download. That way you're always caught up. I own ACDsee but have yet to tag my stuff but it does make it easier to browse through my things and pick out what I want to use.

Yzerbear - What a beautiful LO!! I love the colors, the embellishments - just everything about it! Great job!

Cruisecrzy - Such a fun and colorful LO! Looks like a fun day! Love it!

Hi everyone! I've posted here once or twice before but here's a layout I just completed. It's a photo of my entree from Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge 2 years ago.
